Located in charming walkable Mission Hills - this bright airy home offers style and privacy for a visiting family of 3 or 4, or perhaps two couples traveling together and welcomes a well-behaved pet too! The dramatic Great Room boasts vaulted beamed ceilings, a cozy switch-activated gas fireplace, quality Pottery Barn furnishings, and gleaming hardwood floors throughout. The handsome open Kitchen is stocked with high-end appliances and cooking tools for the chef-enthusiast. There are 2 bedrooms, separated by private hallways, each bedroom with a high quality King bed and accompanying bathrooms with walk-in tiled showers. Enjoy climate-controlled mini-split air-conditioning during hot spells or thermostatically controlled heat as needed, plus the evening warmth of the Living Room's gas fireplace. Out front - relax under the pergola adjacent the stone driveway which provides one on-site parking space. Off the rear dining area open sliding glass doors to enjoy the home's very private garden terrace - an ideal spot for morning coffee or evening wine. Great stay

The house is lovely and was a great fit for two couples. Clean with many amenities, close to many restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. Short drive to downtown. Kent, the manager, was very helpful and responded quickly when needed. Only room for one car but that worked for us. Would highly recommend.

Great time In San Diego

The house, location, and Kent the property host was great. Close to the airport and the Naval Base. Everything you need is within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location for greater San Diego

My wife and daughter and I spent a week in this great home. It is exactly as described. It was a perfect location to enjoy all that San Diego has to offer and is 15-20 minutes to just about anywhere you want to go with very little traffic. We would definitely stay here again!

A trip to remember

This VRBO was in the perfect location. Close to everything! It was the best spot for two couples who wanted to see the sites. The hosts had everything we needed and more. The deck was awesome and the lime/lemon trees were the best surprises.

Home Away from Home

We flew in from Florida to welcome our son home from deployment and had a few delays with the day of his arrival. Kent worked with us without any hassle and was super accomodating. The house was perfect! Clean, updated, had everything we needed and Kent took the time to meet us and explain how everything worked. We didn't have one complaint. The neighborhood was quiet and close to everything. It truly felt like home and we would definitely stay here again the next time we are in town. Thank you again Kent!

This pride-of-ownership single family home in Uptown's prestigious Mission Hills still has available dates in late April, early & late May, mid June, and most of September 2023. Guests love its prime central location, its high vaulted ceilings, the open floor plan, and its wonderful dining terrace! The European owners purchased this property as a second home, dividing their time between Germany and San Diego. They are pleased to offer their special place on Eagle Street as a short term rental six months per year. Extensively remodeled, this attractive home has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Each bedroom has a separate hallway, each with comfortable King Bed, and adjacent bathroom w/tiled shower. The central Great Room includes an L shaped Pottery Barn Sectional and leather Lounge chair, Smart TV, handsome dining table with seating for 6, and open Kitchen with high-end appliances. On a cool night -- enjoy the switch-activated gas fireplace near dining area. On a warm afternoon flip on the Air Conditioning, or open tall sliding glass doors to the private deck with peaceful canyon views. It's an ideal spot for morning coffee or evening meal after an active day at the zoo or nearby beaches. This is a custom built pride-of-ownership home. The owners have upgraded it extensively since purchasing it 10+ years ago. They divide their time between Germany and San Diego, but are always delighted to return to their San Diego "home" on Eagle Street. They love walking to nearby food markets and restaurants like the Red Door, the local ice cream shop on Goldfinch St, or the gourmet cheese shop on Washington Avenue. There are outstanding food markets 2 blocks away, and on Sunday one can visit the huge Farmer's Produce Market in nearby Hillcrest. This prized Uptown location can't be beat! Balboa Park, the Zoo, Downtown, Little Italy, and the Airport can be reached by Uber or a rental car in just minutes.

When a central location and a detached single family house are desired - this is the property to choose!
