Close your eyes and imagine the perfect place to escape it all – now open them because you've found it with the secluded Tara's Dream Mountain Cabin. Nestled in the wilderness, this rustic escape gets you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With no internet access and a primitive cabin setting, this retreat invites you to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature's tranquility.

Inside, a cozy, open floor plan encourages togetherness. The full kitchen has plenty of space for the chef to make magic, and the group can dine at the breakfast bar or table. After you eat, spend the day hiking, biking, driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, or just relaxing with a book. Area fishing opportunities abound as well, including guided fishing trips. Chestnut Mountain Park, 15 miles away, offers 450 acres of mountain recreation, with more than a mile of bike trails tailored to all skill levels, several hiking trails, and a shared-use climbing trail.

In the evening, fire up the gas grill on the porch for dinner and dine at the picnic table with the mountains as your backdrop. Spend the evening snuggled up in front of the fireplace, playing some cards, or roasting marshmallows around the firepit, with the only light coming from the flames and the only sounds coming from the nature surrounding you.

The cabin was nicely rustic. Beautiful, isolated, quite location. Description of road up to the cabin was not described with the proper amount of intensity for how steep, narrow and scary it was driving along the edge of some very precarious drops. Cabin was well equipped and clean. Except some of the dishes were not that clean. Beds are FIRM. Porch is great any time of the day or night. Beautiful in October. We understood that there is no cell phone service, however we found it to be quiie disconcerting that being so difficult to get in and out of the property, it would be disastrous if there was an emergency. No means of attaining help other than running up the hill to the neighbors' and hope they are home. A land line phone would be VERY nice. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our quiet, restful getaway. Thank you for making this visit possible.

Unsatisfied
Directions to cottage were poor(just say its in a gated community , we went past that at first). Upon entry we were greeted with a dank, musty smell. Furnishings were old and musty. Bathroom was in poor working condition. Shower barely functioned. Bedroom was musty, open gap around window ac unit. bedding was old. Floor by washer/dryer seemed about to fall through. We canceled our whole trip after getting in late and staying only ONE night of our planned 8 because of condition. After MANY calls and recalls we were told we could cancel. The ONE night ending up costing us a lot of money after fees etc. Not happy campers. We will not be using Vacasa/ VRBO again.

Beautiful place!
The house was great! Very clean, cozy and nice! The scenery from the front porch was wonderful. The house has all tools to make the stay comfortable! A couple warnings though, the road to the house us very tricky, and can be hard to find in the dark. Also. There is no cell service. At least for T-Mobile. No wifi, internet, or cable, so plan your stay and trips ahead! Overall the house is lovely though!
