Welcome to the Jewel on the River, a scenic getaway located near the St. Clair River in Marysville, MI. This 2-bedroom, 2 full bath condo offers easy access to one of Michigan's beautiful Great Lakes, Lake Huron, via a short drive by car or by boat. Wake up to majestic freighters gliding by on the river and enjoy Michigan freshwater with access to a riverfront private beach across the street.

Lots of space to relax and entertain in this beautiful condo with a large living room, family room, full kitchen, and a large dining room with seating for 10! The first bedroom (on the first floor) offers two queen beds, and the second bedroom (on the second floor) has two queen beds. The multiple couches can be used for additional sleeping arrangements if needed.

Guests have access to a patio and deck with comfortable furniture, and a firepit. This home has access to a private beach on the St. Clair River directly across a quiet street.

This condo is one of 3 condos available in a large house. You are renting Unit 1. This condo is multi-story, with the majority of the space on the first floor and 1 bedroom upstairs. This unit has its own entrance into the house, separate from the other condos. Our patio, front deck, and private beach is available to guests in all 3 condos. There is plenty of parking available for all guests.

Units 1 and 2 can be rented together and have an interior door connecting the units as an option. If you are only renting 1 unit, this connecting door is locked at all times via an owner-only key.

Please note this unit has an open stairway to the basement off the kitchen door, there is no door to the basement, just the staircase. May not be appropriate if you have small children or pets you are concerned about.

Absolutely best time in Michigan! Loved everything about this house, location and the private beach! This Jewel has so much character in the house and so much fun to be had for the whole family. It was pretty well stocked with everything our big family needed. It was clean and very spacious.The river is so beautiful and we swam in it every minute we could. The freighters came by so often and loved seeing them from the house, front porch or private sitting area next to the river. All together wonderful stay for sure. Will be back!

Jewel on the River

Great place. The views of the river were fantastic, especially when the freighters went by. The neighborhood was very quiet. There was plenty of parking for all the units. Our unit was really spacious and had everything we needed. The property manager responded immediately to my texts. The patios next to the river would be great to use with warmer weather. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Overall, we had an awesome time at this VRBO! The rooms and view were beautiful! There was a lot of room and it was so great to be able to get units 1 and 2 that connect! We had a few issues with cleanliness, but the owners were very communicative and helpful. Overall a great experience!

I am used to newer houses so my first impression was not great. It seemed dirty and the house definitely had some maintenance issues, but when I really looked at the place the bathroom, bedrooms and kitchen were very clean. The carpets had stains on them and could use a deep clean but overall cleanliness was very good. The upstairs bedroom was very cold and I didn’t realize until the last day there was a space heater in the downstairs bedroom closet, but it was also January and snowy. They also do not supply any amenities which is not uncommon for some rentals so as long as you know that and are prepared it is not an issue. I wish in some of the reviews someone had mentioned that so I was more prepared and didn’t have to immediately go on a supply run. Toilet paper there was only half a roll in each bathroom. The place has a great view and overall we were very comfortable staying there and would definitely go back. The host was very responsive throughout the whole process and was very nice.

Pictures aren't up-to-date. We had many issues inside that should have been basic for a rental. Cleaning was not recent, place smelled, kitchen had old items in cupboards and closet door didn't open, some top mattresses are wrapped in plastic so sleeping was noisy for some of us, some couch legs were going to fall apart after a few sittings so we didn't use them, the lighting is not great and we found lightbulbs to put in lamps so could see at night, this may have been a nice place once but not anymore. Upstairs neighbors TV was loud to the 2nd floor bedroom for sleeping. Needs more upgrades. Place is up for sale so it appears no upgrades will be made. It was located close to Port Huron which was what we wanted but the place is over-rated on this site.
