Welcome to Sandpiper Cottage... walking distance to restaurants and the popular Footbridge Beach. The Cottage is located on Ocean Street, a lovely residential area, less than a five minute walk and you will have sand between your toes! A variety of restaurants are around the corner to satisfy your taste buds! We are steps away from the trolley stop to bring you to all of Ogunquit's wonders... great location for families, couples or a quiet getaway with friends.

As new owners of this quaint cottage we have updated the cottage with new furniture, new mattresses and bedding, kitchen essentials and the interior has been freshly painted. Sit out in the enclosed porch with a cup of coffee and a good book, have a drink in the evening by the outdoor fire place or take a nap after a long day at the beach. We have central air for those hot days and an outdoor shower to rinse off all that sand. The cottage also offers Wi-Fi, a variety of books, games and DVD's... beach chairs, lawn games, gas grill and washer/dryer. The first bedroom offers a queen bed with a new memory foam mattress and the second bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds with new mattresses/memory foam toppers. There is a new sofa sleeper as well with an additional memory foam pad. Sleeps 6 comfortably. Renters must provide their own bed linens, bath towels, and beach towels. Bedspreads, kitchen towels, hand towels, and shower mat provided.

We are conveniently located just north to downtown Ogunquit, an easy walk or experience a ride on the trolley. Kennebunkport, York (Nubble Lighthouse), and the Kittery outlets are just a short drive away.

Perfect location

We were in Ogunquit, ME for a wedding and this cottage was perfect for our family. The children loved the bunk beds and we loved how homey and comfortable it was. The location is great being so close to everything and walking distance to the ocean. We would definitely recommend this VRBO as the interaction was kind and very easy to manage.

Great House & Location

This house was perfect for our family of 5. I have been coming to Ogunquit since I was little and Footbridge beach is my favorite. The location could not be better… we walked to the beach everyday. The house had everything we needed and we are definitely looking forward to coming back next summer.

I had a very positive experience during my stay over the weekend. The house was very clean and within walking distance of a few bars and restaurants. It was noted to bring bedding linens and towels for your stay. The washer and dryer works as well. The one bathroom was tough with a group of 6 but not a deal breaker.

Amazing Beach Getaway

We had a wonderful week staying at Emilys cottage. The location is perfect; short walk to the beach and then 1 mile to downtown and 2 miles to perkins cove. The cottage had all the amenities and the kids loved the bunk bed room. The whale decorations and beach vibe was relaxing and perfect. We would highly recommend and stay here again. My only constructive criticism is that the driveway is very small and barely fits 2 cars so perhaps trimming some of the bushes would make more room; it was hard to get kids in/out of the car. The house also had a bit of a musty smell that would notice everytime entered and some of our clothes when leaving also smelled so perhaps the house needs to get aired out a bit but overall not deal breakers and would recommend as a great place to stay with a family for a beach getaway!

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

What a wonderful property! We loved it! It was the perfect weekend get away and the perfect home. Easy and quick walk to the beach and restaurants. With the work they put into this house, I can say every detail was intentional. The mattress was the most comfortable we have ever slept on at VRBO location which you rarely get in a rental. It is clean, modern and is equipped with everything we needed to cook every meal at the cottage. The nice touch of the Host letting us arrive early. Highly recommend! I absolutely loved the decor. It was everything I would have chosen myself if it were my cottage. We will 100% look to book this property again. Thank you!!!

location was close to the beach - that’s it

The house good location to the beach yet by a restaurant which we didn’t know of. fully stocked kitchen and good outdoor amenities. However the house smelled of smoke ( all our stuff smelled of smoke even when we got home) the floors were so dirty we had to mop them ourselves. and we were told the night before that would have to bring sheets for all the beds. wish we new this earlier because we didn’t have the sizes we needed. I never leave reviews like this but these are things that changes the quality of our trip especially with little kids.

I work hard being attentive and accommodating to guests. This is my home. I spoke with the guest a month prior to their visit answering questions. Upon a misunderstanding with a previous guest about needing to provide their own sheets, I followed up with all guests to double check that they knew this policy. (This guest booked with the previous owner, and I didn't realize that it wasn't clear on the VRBO rental side.) Changes have been made on the listing to make this clearer. There was no ill will, and I apologized three times via text message. I confirmed with the guest that we did provide beach chairs, extra blankets, the frequency of washing of the bedspreads we do provide, soap, toaster oven, pillows, etc. I treated the guest with respect. The cottage is a non-smoking home. Period. At the end of the stay, I returned an item that the guest had left at my own expense, rearranged items that had been left in disarray, and cleaned up trash (cracker snack packs) left in the backyard garden and chairs. I understand this rental is not ideal for everyone, but I welcome families because I know what it is like to rent with small children. It's important to me to continue that opportunity even if it takes additional effort.

Highly recommended. -owner very communicative -great location, close to Footbridge Beach, restaurants, downtown area -another reviewer had mentioned that every thing inside the cottage was intentional and I second that. Everything you needed was there, including chargers, and Alexa to listen to music, extra blanket. Beautiful decorations and cozy little nooks all over the cottage. -we stayed in the fall and were able to use the fire pit outside and plugged in the lights that created a beautiful ambience… And comfy chairs to sit around the fire. Another night we sat out on the porch and plugged in the little lights and sat around on the chairs chatting. -Very comfortable beds! -Great water pressure in the shower! -all the tools and utensils you would need in the kitchen -comfy couches -Everything was very clean One of my best vrbo experiences!
