This home overlooking the Pacific Ocean has two private masters, king and queen beds, with an additional sleeping den with twin daybed. This is NOT grandma's house! Living room fireplace, master bedroom fireplace AND 2nd television. Cozy CLEAN bedding! Our spotless home has been newly updated with paint and flooring and newer furnishings. Come and experience the changing seasons of the Pacific. Stand on the grass and look south down the entire coast! A private beach and cove right on the Pacific Ocean with crashing surf, rocks to climb and afternoon tide pools to explore along with a secret beach cave! Spectacular views and ocean air from almost every window! Wake up to seals barking on the rocks! Take the nearby stairs (out the front door, turn right, walk to the fence/sign.)to the private beach to explore, swim, collect shells and driftwood, dig for clams, or watch whales. Lounge on the deck with a book and get full benefit of the view and ocean air or do the same in a rocking chair by the fire! Our one touch heat pump and two fireplaces make the cozy, well cared for furnishings extra cozy. Bring your bikes!

Cosy beachfront home

What a great beach front place! We had a wonderful time at the great beach home. The view is spectacular! The rain did nothing to dampen our trip, and wonderful memories were made here! The walks on the beach were extra special. Just a great trip! Thank you Cathy & Mike for a great stay!

Gorgeous view

The picture windows were incredible, and hot tub overlooking the ocean as the storm came in was fantastic. Mike and Cathy were very responsive and ensured the hot tub was working while we were there.

Potentially Amazing !

This sweet double master bedroom with remarkable ocean views, and uplifting great room home could be such an amazing gem! A diaper type smell & deodorizer cover up attempt hit us upon entering. The source seemed to come from a bath with a sewage/gas smell. The rest of the house did not smell. The “den” is the entrance to the house with a trundle bed & bare window with no privacy covering. Thare are no window treatments for privacy in the great room. The kitchen back door flood lights did not work, the over sink lights were fussy to switch on and had a burned out light bulb.The switch at the master bedroom floodlight could be turned off in the kitchen leaving it dark for anyone who went out. The two lovely fireplaces blew out in the wind but no relighting instructions were available. There were 3 hot tub towels for 6 of us. The washer and dryer are in the garage with poor lighting accessible with a garage door opener. We had no information on accessing the garage until we contacted the owner/manager. The owner/manager made it very clear there would be no services stating it was a housekeeping oversight and “it all worked when I visited.“ The hot tub was glorious, beds & linens comfortable and clean and overall cleanliness was superior. I hope investigation of the stench happens before renting again. An electrician needs to study the defective switches. Manager/owner would not provide any support during our stay, it was an “as is” experience.

Great view from the hot tub!

This is a great location. The ping pong table would be a good thing except that the garage needs cleaning. Heads up to future guests: Bring your own laundry soap and extra paper towels as these are not supplied by the host.

Fabulous Ocean View

This property is amazing and so clean! The ocean views are unobstructed and made for such a relaxing and peaceful weekend! Definitely would stay here again!

Mike is from Oregon and so we came to Medford 30 years ago to raise our sons. One of our favorite family outings as the boys grew up was to go to Brookings, camp at the beach and get up (very) early and go fishing. Our guys would get so seasick, but they would keep on fishing for those big salmon and red snapper! Sometimes we would camp in the Redwoods, drift down the Smith River in an inner tube, or get up early for more fishing! Some days we would take a picnic to Harris Beach and our hearty guys would surf, climb the rocks, talk to the seals and explore tide pools. In 2003 we were blessed with an opportunity to buy our awesome ocean front home which seemed too good to be true! Now our family, friends and visitors enjoy a MUCH more comfortable way to make wonderful memories!

Why they chose this property

Two words: "Chetco Effect"! Our home is not only right on the ocean, it enjoys balmy summer weather with warmer temperatures unlike ANY other on the Oregon coast (called 'the Chetco effect')! It is a wonderful escape from 'valley fog' in Medford, even when it is raining in Brookings! We have a beach that is accessed only by ourselves and our neighbors because it has two large rock outcroppings where folks cannot easily access. People are friendly and there is lots to do, which unfortunately keeps us out of the lawn chair! It is a safe, low crime community with clean air and lilly fields, and there is all that wonderful FISH and crab!

What makes this property unique

Laying on the deck watching the ocean is probably our favorite, but there is rock climbing, tide pools, beach bonfires, boating, biking, wading, golf ~ and did I mention fishing and crabbing??
