Just what we needed!

We had a wonderful time. The house was so clean and it had everything we needed. We rented this house because our girls had a dance competition nearby. Di had a welcome dancers sign when we walked in and the girls got so excited when they saw it! She was very responsive when I had any questions. The girls had a fun "sleep over" weekend and the moms got to relax a little. We did walk the trails and got to enjoy nature. The trails were easy to follow thanks to the markings. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Easter Getaway

The Hickory Lane House exceeded any and all expectations. The property was extremely clean, well stocked with essentials, and provided a quiet, safe retreat for our family. Both my husband and I grew up in New Castle, PA and were both pleasantly surprised to find this slice of heaven right in our hometown. It was hard to leave because this felt just like "home". Thank you HLH for the memories; until next time!

Perfect Stay!

Best Host ever! Property is beautiful, spotless, and quiet. All the little extra touches and amenities make it the perfect place to stay after a long chaotic day at a dance competition. Diane is absolutely amazing! Responds right away. She even had a “Welcome Dancers” sign hanging for the girls to see when they walked in. Really made their day! Thank you Diane!

Beautiful Home!

There were 9 of us that stayed at Hickory Lane House for the Thanksgiving holiday. Everything was wonderful! The house was immaculate and well stocked with everything we needed throughout our stay. The owner goes above and beyond by providing extras like snacks, drinks and toiletries. She even provided a homemade pie, which was delicious! Thank you! We will definitely be back next year!

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

Our family had such a great time relaxing and spending time together at Hickory Lane House! The house and amenities are beautiful and so nice to use. Very spacious and comfortable. The hosts were great to work with and provided so many thoughtful touches at the house to make our stay special. Great location for easy access to fall festivals in the area.

Family time

We booked this beautiful home for our family during an unexpected and unimaginable loss of a beloved family member. Diane was so thoughtful to leave a cherry pie to welcome us. Upon arrival we were blown away by the beauty and serenity of the property. The cleanliness of the home was outstanding. The many gathering areas in the home provided spaces for us to be together as well as enjoy time to ourselves. The bedrooms are large and beds are so comfortable. I think the sheets had been meticulously ironed! No detail left out! From the robes and slippers to every snack you could want and all the toiletries, which were so appreciated when you’re packing under duress and can easily forget them! The chalkboard in the kitchen with all of the WiFi and details about where to find things in the home is a great help as is the cute little maps of the property!! The pond and fish food were such a nice bonus too! We hiked the trails as a family and enjoyed so many laughs! The huge garage turned banquet area was perfect for a large group meal! Thank you Diane for sharing your beautiful property with our family ❤️

Amazing stay for a siblings get together

I really wish platforms would not require me to fill out text boxes to complete an otherwise stellar review. This is not a knock on the property, but on VRBO's review process. The property was lovely, well maintained, safe, and just what we needed. The owner provided plenty of extras, like fresh fruit, snacks, sodas, and waters that were an unexpected but pleasant surprise.

90th Birthday Party/Family Reunion

Diane was absolutely the best host I could have dreamed of! She totally understood the importance of this special large birthday party/family reunion to us and was remarkably gracious and helpful from the months prior to & after the party! There were loads of picture opportunities by the lovely barn and archway and parking space. All of the spaces in the home were extremely well stocked, down to every detail. The grounds had many easy walking trails that were an extra bonus. We will definitely return!!

Wonderful Stay!

My friends and I had a blast!! We wanted a place where we can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere for a good getaway! The house is gorgeous and the attention to details is fascinating!!! Spacious, fully equipped, super clean, breathtaking overlook, and very peaceful! Di, the host, was very responsive and super nice to us! One of my best stays!! Highly recommend it

College Graduation stay

A beautiful property that is well suited for entertaining people. We had our family stay at the house and was able to host a dozen +/- college kids for pizza and fire pit relaxation. The house and property are cleaner and manicured better than any place we have stayed before. We only wish we would have found this place sooner in our son's college career.

Great place for privacy.

The rooms are much larger than the pictures and we loved having so much space for evryone and friends that came over for an after funeral reception. The host clearly thought of everything a guest might need and provided it everywhere.We had great weather and loved the outdoor chairs and tables and sitting areas.

Great place to stay!

My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights with 3 other mom/daughter pairs while in the area for a dance competition. The house had so much space! It was very clean and had all the amenities we needed, and more! The linens smelled so clean, and the extra touches that Di and Randy supplied us with was so nice! It felt like we were at a luxury hotel! We hope to stay here in the future if we have a competition in the area again! Thank you Di and Randy for a great stay!

Awesome Rental!

We were in the area for a dance competition with a party of 8. Beautiful, immaculate house! So much space to spread out and relax after a chaotic day! Diane was absolutely wonderful and accommodating. Always quick to respond. So many extra little personal touches (toiletries, snack, drinks), she thought of everything! If in the area again, we will definitely stay again!

Great place to stay!

This was a great property in a lovely location. Diane put such effort into making the house a great place to stay. The trail maps, the availability of frequently forgotten items, the pie & coffee- all indicated that she wasn't just a property manager, but a true hostess! We enjoyed our stay at this extremely clean spacious home. We were a small group, but there would be plenty of space to spread out if you had more people. The bonus event room in the garage would be great for family gatherings. I had a VRBO emergency (another "host" cancelled my reservation the night before I was to check in), and when I contacted Diane to see if this house could be available on short notice, she was prompt to confirm it could be. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful, quiet, clean, and very roomy! This house was fantastic and perfect for our vacation. Nothing was missing ! Outdoor seating, indoor amenities and comfortable beds and all the shared spaces were perfect! We will definitely be back!!
