this place was a straight up scam
The listing was a fake. VRBO did refund me the money for the booking, but it was a huge pain in the butt and caused me to lose more money in finding other places to stay that weekend. Because we found out it was a scam in the eleventh hour, it caused us be late to the concert that we were in town to see (1100.00 tickets) and we missed part of the show. VRBO needs to do better vetting of their "hosts", the week before I ran into another Vrbo host that was a super flake, double booked his unit and wanted me to do the work to cancel, I literally spent hours between them and him. VRBO said he needed to cancel and he said they needed to cancel and meanwhile, I am sitting there wasting my time and still had no place to stay.
