Really spacious, and clean. Great communication from the owner. The jets in the tub weren't working but he responded late at night when i messaged about it. Some wear and tear on the futniture but overall really nice. Also super close to Starved Rock. Well definitely look into staying again when we come back over the summer
The property was just as described and everything was perfect great communication and a great location with all the right stuff to make a great experience!
The villa was clean & spacious with only minor wear & tear visible. We didnt try the whirlpool tub due to some concerning signs on the dining room ceiling downstairs and one of the front burners didnt work. Nine of these issues bothered us. We enjoyed our stay but wish the check out werent so early. Would recommend this villa to others looking for a nice family vacation.
This was a great place to stay, super close to 3 state parks and a resort with plenty of outdoor and indoor activities for family of all ages. Our host, Tom and Team made sure we had everything we needed and were super responsive to all communication. The place had plenty of room for us to spread out and was nice and quiet for sleeping.
We loved this spacious, quiet property. We enjoyed our stay very much. Several options of movies and games were provided, which was great. We mentioned that the shower heads needed work, but otherwise, there were no problems. The space seemed clean. We definitely would return!
Thank you for the wonderful stay! This townhome is larger than the pictures make it seem, had everything we needed and was a perfect location. Lots of fun things to do right around the resort. We tempt enjoyed our time!
Our family loved this cabin. It was clean with comfortable beds. Stocked up with EVERYTHING you need. Kids had plenty of games for enjoyment. Thank you to our host Ephemeral, he was very responsive and professional. 🙏
Great property , great location. Best cabin experience.
Cabin was clean and had anything we needed for our stay. Great amenities and perfect location that was near fishing, hiking and lovely views of nature. Upon arrival easy check in. This property was definitely bigger than we expected. We had amazing views of the starry sky from each balcony. It was a calm and serene trip. We will definitely be staying here again in the near future. Tom was a excellent host. If your looking for a five star rental this is definitely the right choice.
Five stars because it worked for our needs. I was a little surprised it was in a condo complex with a bunch of other places right next to it. That wasn’t obvious to me in the listing. The kitchen had basics but not overly easy if you’re trying to cook all meals there. There wasn’t a can opener so we bought one. Just a note also they don’t provide any shampoo or soap in the bathrooms. It worked for our needs but we had to run to the store for a few things.

We saw some earwigs and were killing them so I think a pest control visit is in order. The king bed was very hard and not comfortable. The water in the bathroom when running down the sink smelled awful. Other than that the stay was geat the environment was cool and the property managemnrt team was informative quick and very nice.
I arrived early and waited for the cleaning crew to be done I saw cleaning people come and go, so waited in the car with my kids At 4:03, for a check in time of 4pm, I used the code provided and entered the property as I thought the cleaning crew left, which they hadn’t I messaged the host, and received an apology they were not done yet, as the people before me had made a mess. I entered the property when it was ready at 4:17pm and cleaning was definitely a rush job; which made sense since I saw the cleaning crew arrive at 3:35pm There were stains and wet spots on all the downstairs carpets, where our feet got wet with substance The two couches in the living room were smelly, dirty, and ripped The ceiling in the dining area needs repair and the walls in kitchen were cracked I told the host and received a message of “that’s not good” The whole house was gross, tub was dirty and gunk coming out of the jets, beds were super uncomfortable and could feel the springs in all of them, many walls dirty with yellow gunk and black handprints, and my kids could hear animals of some kind in the walls of the bedroom squeaking and scratching The patio off the upstairs bedroom was leaning and broken, with many rails coming out of the joints; definitely not safe!!! The towels were old and stained, barely dried us off and very small, with hair on I emailed all the pictures to VRBO and was told someone would get back to me for a refund and none has yet after 5 emails
This villa is a 2 story condo on the property of Great Bear Resort and Indoor Waterpark in Utica, IL (we were too early in the season for the waterpark). The property is on the end of the building, so very quiet. Super close to Starved Rock and the other state parks and historical places in that area. It was a fantastic place for us and our 3 adult kids. We have 1 daughter and 2 boys, so the boys had to share one of the beds but it was plenty big enough for them (one of them could have chosen to sleep on the pull-out couch but did not). Kitchen appliances, dishes, glasses, and utensils all clean and quite adequate for our needs. Coffee maker and Keurig as well. Two bathrooms, one with an accessible shower and one tub/shower combination. It was not a problem to run the 2 showers at one time. We did not try the jacuzzi tub, but it looked like it would be a wonderful soak! There were large Roku TVs in the living area and master bedroom, along with gas fireplaces that put out great heat. Host provided a large selection of board games and DVDs, and was great to work with. So much to do and see in this area! We would definitely rent this condo again!
