A nice stay in the heart of Times Square

The room was actually bigger than I was expecting for NYC. It was super conveniently located and the price was really good for the location. We did run into some issues with hot water due to a boiler issue, but not much the hotel could do in that. The thermostats didn’t seem to work, other than to turn the fans on or off, but the room hovered around 70 the entire time so wasn’t that big a deal (we were trying to dry off some clothes from a rainy day). All in all, definitely a solid value for the space and location.

Clean, cool, good location

We wanted to be very near Times Square in a clean safe and cool property. This was it. Located just off the square about a block, quiet (other than usual NYC sounds) side street with lots of theatre hustle and bustle. The elevators are SUPER slow - we were on the 4th floor so most of the time we took the stairs. If you're waiting on your floor for the elevator, when it gets near your floor keep hitting the DOWN button or even though you pressed it once, the elevator will pass you up. The bathroom shower had a 1/2 glass door partition that made no sense - water got on the floor no matter what you did (the warped door proved this was a recurring issue) - but we just kept a towel down so no one slipped. The A/C would not cool down when we first got there. I called front desk and they sent the very friendly Mario up immediately. He took off the front of the a/c unit where he revealed the electric thermostat and from there on out it was cool as can be in the suit. Windows on the outside were dirty, which is not major, but would have been nice to see things a little more clearly. The ice machine on our floor was not plugged in. The maid cart remained in the very narrow hallways the entire time we were there. Over all we were happy with this property, the staff was great. Early check in was not available as I thought we had previously discussed but if it HAD been it would have been an additional $50. Tip - get coffee and pastry across the street at Masseria- Delicious!
