‘The Wellington’ was created for those looking to gather in a piece of Chicago history. This thoughtfully refurbished 1920s factory is the hidden gem of Lakeview & Roscoe Village - secluded from the hustle, yet a quick walk to world class restaurants, bars & Wrigley Field. Large enough to host families & friends uniting together, yet configured for travelers looking to work from ‘home’ in the heart of The Second City.

The second bedroom (aka. the blue room) sleeps two with a queen-size bed featuring old school architectural drawings against a modern abstract painted backdrop.
The primary suite is secluded in the back of the unit with a small step up into a private bathroom and spacious bedroom (aka. the black & white room) with his & her closets.

Guest access
During your stay, the whole unit is yours and only yours. You will have a code for key-less access to come and go as you please.
Washer and dryer are available in the basement. If you need access, don't hesitate to ask!
Other things to note
We do have a commuter train (Metra) that goes by, on average, every hour - it's 10 seconds and minimal noise indoors.
Please remember that you're staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect - it was designed for our family and we hope you treat it that way.
If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP.
Early check-ins and late check-outs are difficult to accommodate, however please let us know if you need to drop off bags early or keep them late.

About the host
Hosted by Stacy Callighan
I am the Co-Founder of a human-centered design firm and a recovering architect - born & raised in Chicago. I travel often for research, but when I'm not working, my incredibly talented composer husband and love to soak in all that our hometown has to offer. We're huge wine nerds and beer snobs - if you're looking to share a drink, please ask! We're always down.
Why they chose this property
We bought this building for it's history and connection to Chicago. As born and raised Chicagoans (and architect!), it was important to find and share a space that had meaning. We are still digging up the details on its history and cannot wait to share what we learn.
What makes this property unique
This building was renovated in 2022 to represent the modern design aesthetic of Chicago within a 1920's historic frame - showcasing 100 years of change. We love this building beyond words and hope you do, too.
