Amazing home - Vacasa services lacking
We stayed in the home from mid-September to mid-December and had an amazing time! Pros: -Truly feels like a home -Incredibly dog friendly home and neighborhood (our dog made a few friends on the block!) and there’s tons of cute touches like a bin of dog toys! -Location! Easy to bike to town, Pope Beach, and Camp Richardson and there’s so many trails straight from the door to walk, run, hike, and bike! -Well stocked kitchen - we made thanksgiving dinner here and had plenty of mixing bowls, measuring cups, plates, etc. to be able to cook -Pretty good WiFi (crashed occasionally but never for too long) -Lots of heaters supplied to keep the place toasty in the winter months -The neighbors on both sides are only in town occasionally (and the house behind seems to be vacant) so it’s very quiet and great for wildlife watching! We saw quite a few bears out the window! -Great laundry machines -Water comes out of the tap nice and cold for drinking so doesn’t really need ice -Desks and computer monitors are supplied making this a great place to work remotely! Cons: -Vacasa does not actually maintain the yard so expect it to be a mess of pine needles/ pine cones that coat dog/ human feet in sap and make a huge mess inside (we borrowed a rake from a kind neighbor and cleaned the yard ourselves) -The snow removal service (All Clean Snow Removal) takes forever after a snow storm to come plow so expect to need to shovel frequently (note: you will not receive warning to move your car out of the way so they really only plow about 1/4 of the driveway) -Only one kitchen dish towel was supplied and there were no cleaning products outside of a pack of wipes so you’ll need to purchase products to be able to clean the bathroom, dust, etc. -Wish the bikes mentioned in the listing were available after Labor Day since the weather in September/ October was so amazing! -The microwave is only ~700 watts so expect everything to take 2x as long to heat up -Limited overhead lighting on the main floor makes it quite dark inside during the winter months so we used headlamps when puzzling -Bed pillows could definitely use replacing -Vacasa does not supply the blue recycling bags that the city uses so we went and got our own from South Lake Tahoe Refuse so we could recycle (the city will replace the blue bags each trash day but you do need a blue bag to get started) Additionally, neither a pro nor a con but there is a ring camera outside of the garage. Overall, if this home wasn’t rented through Vacasa; we’d absolutely come back! We loved it here!

Great location with great backyard
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time. The house was cozy and overall clean. Great location. I would have loved to see a newer stove/oven since we had a hard time cooking roasts in the oven but other than that everything was great.

Cabin
The cabin was a nice getaway from the city life. We did have some issues with the wifi router crashing. Overall it was a nice little cabin. Quiet areas close to the keys.
