Regrets of renting without a review.
1. First night we heard noises in the walls. Turns out there were rats in the walls and attic. Noises became loud enough to wake us up in the night. Found out from neighbor that there was a rat problem in the building. Let owner know and she had HOA come and put traps in attic.(also she stated they had rats in February but never told us) Neighbor said they had caught 10 rats. We had to let HOA in house every other day to check on traps. They caught 4 rats in our attic. During this time we smelled decaying animals from the neighbors unit.
Would have been good for owner to let us know rat problem she had in February. I was never offered any compensation for putting up with the rat issues.
2.No list from owner about Wi-Fi password, trash pickup, etc.
3.Very dusty and somewhat dirty floors. No vacuum to clean rugs. Hairs in bathroom drawers.
4. In description of property it stated newly remodeled. Only kitchen was remodeled. Everything else was old and original.
5. Fan and TV not working in 3rd small bedroom. No hanging closet.
6. In property description it stated sleeps 6 but only 4 plates and bowls. Also had 1 very small wastebasket in kitchen.
Overall back patio was very nice with view of golf course.
I regret renting this unit with no reviews. Owner was usually quick in responding to my texts. She had a family emergency that took her away for awhile.
Just would have appreciated forewarning about rat situation with option to cancel contract.
