The house was spacious and clean. The trail to the lake and beach was fun for all! The grandkids enjoyed the pool too. There were lots of discrepancies between the website posting and actual property. Posted 2 queen beds upstairs, but they had one queen bed and one full size bed. No smoke detector in one bedroom upstairs. Stated 11am check out time on website, but host told us 10am on her “info board” at the house. The kitchen needs more utensils (only had 10 forks) and a bigger table and more chairs needed to accommodate the number of people (15) that the listing states. The kids could not play in the backyard due to tall grass and lots of grass burs. There is a big dead tree in the front yard with a fallen limb. We shared all this with the host and VRBO customer service. Hopefully Carrie will take care of these issues soon. If attention is given to these issues, we would come again! It has magnificent views from back porch!!.

Vocabulary used on ad is misleading & exaggerated.There is no arcade/game room or white sand beach access to the lake. It’s actually large pebbles. We couldn’t use the pool it had cloudy water & green (3 days) and dirty with algae lined tiles. For lake access bring your hiking boots & machete to get there, forget the kayak or floats the hike is too long, it is not a trail or to the beach. Not kid friendly access. Host is not empathetic for issues, just makes excuses & had no apology for property disappointments.The property needs pool chemical trash & supplies removed as well as a good edging throughout the yard.

We had 5 days of horrific rain. We came by 2-3 times outside of 2x/week pool service given so much rain. the pool had to be drained twice b/c we had over 12 inches of rain. I personally was there the day of checkin and the pool was a tad green from rain so shocked it (normal from rain). The yard was mowed (in the rain) day prior but a few limbs by the gate (shown) we didn't get too b/c rain was so bad. They've been taken care of. We did everything we could do given the storms but was unfortunate of the weather. This obvious affected the stay but can't control weather but we tried our best.

Rooms were clean very nice home. Host was responsive.Pool was chilly but that was more of the weather. The view was beautiful.A few things to note.The bed frames need updating, the path to the lake is as steep and not for everyone but if you can make it down it’s beautiful and peaceful.

Owner was unaware that pool company left water running and overfilled the pool on the day of our arrival. She had them come back and do an emergency service to have to pool ready for the kids the next morning. She allowed us to stay well after check out on our final day to make up the difference. I would definitely stay here again. The hike down to the lake is a “hike” for sure, but we all went down there and had fun in the lake too.

Belton with a view

The view was amazing! The house was cute but filthy. The bedrooms downstairs were very warm and wouldn’t cool down. The pool was dirty and when the pool guy came he said it had zero chlorine and there was a hole in the vacuum bag. I had to clean as soon as I got there. There was a dirty pair of panties left in a drawer that my grand daughter found when she was unpacking. The dish soap, dishwasher soap and hand soap dispensers were empty. We had to buy trash bags, toilet paper and a few other things that were supposed to be supplied. When we let the host know, she said the cleaners would bring some by and they never showed. The barbecue grill was filthy and broken. 3 fuel tanks for the grill was there and all empty. If it wasn’t for the beautiful view it would be a 1 star.

This is really odd considering the word "filthy" was never used in your communication. We have 90+ cleaning photos and never had an issue. We left 13 rolls of toilet paper (in pictures we sent) for 2 nights. Which would have been plenty if the guest count was accurate. Guest didn't communicate majority of these issues during stay or they would have been addressed. Not one mention of downstairs kids room not cooling as we have 3 AC Units. We leave dishwasher tablets, trash bags and soap in dispenser maybe you aren't used to pods vs. liquid. This would have all been super easy to fix if you would have communicated any of this during stay or called us. In addition to a cleaning closet. You said not to worry as you had day guests coming over bringing stuff, which could make sense as to why you ran out of items if guest count was exceeded.

Family vacation

I know that bad weather came through before we arrived but there are some things that did not have anything to do with the weather. There were windows cracked and had a broken cabinet in the kitchen. The trash was overflowing outside because one can was full. The stickers were so bad that my grandchildren could not play in the backyard. We stayed 4 nights with 12 people. We ran out of toilet paper, trash bags, and dishwasher soap. We all felt like it was misrepresented. The beachy area was impossible to get too. We went to a public area to swim. The pool was not clean and the pool guy came by and apologized for the way it looked. It was advertised as having a bunk room and 3 bedrooms with 1king and 2 queens. It actually has 1king, 1queen, and 1 double. That makes a big difference with adults. The bunk room was great with plenty of room for our grandchildren to play. Carrie was very sweet. She made sure that the lawn care service was out to take care of the tall grass the next day. However, the stickers were too bad to walk in the grass. Overall, it was in a good location on a very quiet street. It was close to Walmart and we were able to enjoy the pool, a public swim area and rented a boat.

Cute and Quiet area

First of all, the lake view was stunning! The house is pretty, but we did have some issues. We did make Carrie aware that one of the cabinets in the kitchen was broken, windows were cracked, one of the knobs to the back door was really loose, and there wasn't any complimentary wine as stated on the Welcome sign. Carrie did send over a complimentary wine and sparkling grape for the kids. That was very sweet of her! She did explain what happened to the other issues as well, and we understood. Again, Carrie was really nice, helpful, and responded quickly. Family who stayed in the bedrooms upstairs, did tell me later on that it smelled moldy so we had to buy air fresheners. The pool was dirty when we arrived, BUT we did clean it and enjoyed the pool. It wasn't too much of a hassle. She did inform us that the pool cleaning company would arrive to clean the pool while we were there, and they did treat the pool. Because of the wooded area, I now see why the pool was dirty. Yes, there is a lot of bugs, but what do you expect being near a wooded area, lake, and pool area. Water attracts bugs. We did enjoy the pool and it was really relaxing! Also, we did see some deer in the backyard! Getting to the lake was a little difficult. We did not find a trail, but we did manage to get to the lake. Please be aware that it is a steep hike to get down to the lake and back up to the house. Make sure to wear tennis shoes!
