Villa Athene-modern natural stone villa with sea views, close to the beach, heated pool

Our Villa Athene was built from natural stone and is modern and comfortably furnished. It is equipped with every luxury.
The very spacious villa with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms is suitable for 8 people + small child.
It is surrounded by olive groves and offers a fantastic view of the sea, the mountains and the green landscape.
The villa has a size of approx. 320 square meters and stands on a plot of over 4,000 square meters. The hot water is heated with solar elements and it is equipped with a photovoltaic system to generate electricity.
To heat the pool a little, you can cover the pool with a solar film or book the pool heating.
On the ground floor there is the entrance area, which leads into the living room. There is also a bedroom with 2 box spring beds (90 cm x 2 m) (they can also be connected to form a double bed) as well as a bathroom with shower and a service room with washing machine.

From the living room you can reach the large dining area with adjoining open kitchen via three steps. From here you go to the approximately 30 sqm terrace, where you can have a leisurely breakfast.
The living room leads to the spacious terraces.

On the upper floor there are three spacious bedrooms with double beds, each with an en-suite bathroom.
The largest bedroom, with approximately 30 sqm, has an open bathroom with shower and bathtub, as well as a separate toilet with bidet. The double bed is 2x2 m. From here you have access to the over 30 sqm, shaded roof terrace, which only belongs to this bedroom. There is a large outdoor shower with hot and cold water. This means you can enjoy the view of the Mediterranean while showering. You can relax on the two loungers.
The second bedroom also has a double bed measuring 1.80 x 2 m and a bathroom with shower. This bedroom has a balcony.
The third bedroom also has a double bed 1.80 x 2 m and has a bathroom with shower. There is a balcony and a roof terrace with a wonderful view of the landscape and the sea.
All bedrooms and the living room naturally have satellite TV and DVD.
In front of the living room is a large shaded terrace, which is furnished with comfortable furniture. The permanently covered outdoor area has a large dining area.
There is also a large brick barbecue with sink and a gas barbecue at your disposal. The whirlpool is also located here.

A few steps take you to the spacious pool terrace. The pool is approx. 11 x 4.50 m and can be heated in the cooler seasons. The pool heating is not included in the price. Price on request. In the pool area there is also a pool deck with a large brick sofa and a large outdoor shower with cold and hot water.
Here you can unwind! The villa is equipped with 8 comfortable loungers, a double lounger and a hammock. Large parasols and shaded terraces provide shade.

A table tennis table offers fun for young and old.

For our younger guests there is a playground with a sandpit and swing.

The villa combines a fantastic view, peace and quiet and a central location. It is on the edge of the village and you can therefore walk into the village. It is just 400 m to the traditional tavern "the polio house", which is very well known on Crete, where you can enjoy traditional Cretan cuisine under shady mulberry trees.

There are other taverns in the surrounding villages and in Skaletta, which is just 2 km away. Here you can also eat right by the sea. Rethymnon, with its small alleys, cafes, restaurants and bars, is only about 15 minutes away.

The nearest beach is about 2 km away.

Villa Athene is also ideal for staying in the colder seasons.

It has underfloor heating via a heat pump throughout the house.

It is also ideal for stays in the colder season. The post-season prices from November 7th to December 7th do not include electricity costs. Electricity is charged separately.
The pool is not in use from December to the end of March. The pool can be booked for an additional charge.
From November 7th to December 7th, the length of stay is 14 nights.
From December 7th to the end of March, the length of stay is at least 28 nights. The final cleaning is included in the price. Intermediate cleaning during this time can be organized for an additional charge.

Important information on the ECO tax.
As of January 1st, 2024, an eco tax has been introduced for all guests in Greece. This is staggered according to category and season.
The fee from March 1st to October 31st is € 15 per night per villa. For the months November to February 28th the fee is 4.00 Euro/night.
The amount must be transferred 4 weeks before arrival directly to the landlord's account, who will pay it to the Greek tax office.
