Nice Dublin Lication

Easy booking process. Owner was responsive when needed. House is nice. Perfectly located for Dublin activities right and right on the river. Close to downtown Dublin and the foot bridge etc. All of that is walking distance. Would certainly stay again.

Nasty!

Bugs, horrid smelling water, was lied to about the construction going on, random people showing up at all times of the day, dirty dishes, dirty floors, rotten walls, rotten door jams, bad experience for 25 days. Was refunded less than half of what was agreed upon. Find somewhere else to stay!!!!!

Wow, where to begin with this guest... - Randy booked with only listing 1 adult. He then proceeded to show up with 2 adults, 4 kids, several aggressive breed dogs, and 5 motor vehicles. This resulted in unpaid fees, and not enough capacity for all the vehicles. - Before Randy booked, we mentioned next-door construction of a new garage and offered a steep discount, which was all agreed upon. Yet when they arrived, that agreement seemed to disappear from Randy's mind. His 5 vehicles caused huge issues with construction traffic. There were minority construction workers present during the daytime, which caused Randy to send us texts threatening to shoot them for being too close to the property. We raised this concern with Vrbo, and had Randy not left early we would have reported this to the police as well. - Despite all the rules broken, the owner opted to refund them for the days they did not finish staying, however Randy wanted double that amount for his "trouble" and threatened to leave a poor review if we declined, which we obviously did (the one thing he didn't lie about). - We are very honest about the homes condition in our description, which Randy doesn't care to read. The home has well water and is surrounded by beautiful forest and river. Yes, bugs exists in this world, and yes, well water does smell different than tap (which is being changed on Jan 1st). Randy decided to stay all but 1 week of his reservation, and then attempt to basically get a free stay. He even asked about a year-long lease midway through, so I don't think "dirty dishes" was a real concern. Upon move out, our cleaners were disgusted with the way Randy left the home and even charged us extra for the first time ever. Anyways, book here if you don't mind nature and a solid location near downtown Dublin.

Dublin Home

This home is in a great spot in Dublin, close to all the major spots. It is a old home with plenty of space right next to the river and is very private and has great character. Although I do not like giving poor reviews the things I wish I knew before having a extended stay are, being a old home requires a lot of upkeep to make it livable. There was clearly a water/plumbing problem at this house. Very strong smell of sulfur and iron. Showers would stink up the entire upstairs. A new, good water softener system would clear this right up as this house has well water. Plumbing was sensitive, we had a lot of clogged toilets/drains, as much as we would try to double flush. This comes with older homes. Upstairs the windows are old and the screens are not well fitted so bugs would easily get in. We shut the windows to help, but the AC window units are not properly sealed. At night when our lights were on in the bedrooms an excessive amount of flies/bugs would come into our rooms. This house can use a very good cleaning, get the water situation cleared up, tend to the plumbing issues and this owner could be making bank by having a awesome home in Dublin. All this being said the owner was EXTREMELY responsive and helped with what he could at the time. If our stay was short I could have dealt with these problems.

After this guest, we found that the water softener had a broken piece which led to the smell, this has sense been replaced and fixed.
