We have three cabin rentals on 8 acres with the most beautiful park-like setting. Each cabin is privately situated with shared common areas; a community firepit, a Koi Pond and big fields to play outdoor games with your family, friends, or your dog.
Each cabin has its own picnic area complete with firepit, lawn chairs and picnic table. Our cabins are equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay with us. Fully equipped kitchens, linens, bath toiletries, BBQ’s, board games, books, cable TV, DVD player, shared hot tub, and the beautiful outdoors.
Living in the mountains can have challenges that should be expected by guests. In the event of inclement weather, we will do out best to keep the driveways and walkways clear of snow as quickly as possible. In case of a power outage, we have a generator to keep the well pump going so that the cabins will have running water until the power is restored. We do not have a generator to provide electricity to the cabins but each cabin has a wood stove and we will provide firewood in case of a power outage. We do not refund because of acts of nature including storms, air quality from forest fires, etc. that are out of our control. We will do our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The accommodations and house appliances were above and beyond expectations! The house was also so welcoming and cozy. We would happily stay here again!
Loved our stay, property was easy to find and very clean inside. Smooth and simple check in. Cute additions including hot tub flip flops as well as dog bowls for our furry friend. Overall my group and I had a wonderful stay, and Debbie was an amazing and communicative host!

The check-in process was easy and the host was quick to respond to any questions. The quick kitchen was well equipped, making it easy for us to cook. It was a little tricky finding where we were staying because there were quite a few cottages or homes on the property.
What a wonderful property full of character, wonderfully quiet and secluded and just a hop away from the national park. Will keep this on our list of places to stay again for sure!
We had a great time! The cabin was perfect for our group of friends. Easy drive to White Pass and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook throughout the weekend. Thank you!
The property was exactly what we needed for a delightful week. There are many thoughtful touches throughout the Farm House that made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The surrounding property provided lovely walks with many surprising and beautiful spots for rest and reflection.
This lovely farmhouse made us feel right at home. With close access to the river, golf course, and downtown this charming home has everything you could need for a quiet getaway away from the crowds. Everything was very clean and tidy. This one is definitely a gem!
Enjoyed our stay so much. Close to snow, big yard to run in and great table for game nights. The kitchen has everything you could want. Best Christmas ever!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Farmhouse! The house was cozy and had a vintage farmhouse feel... with all the amenities. We so appreciated the little extras like the Goat Rock Coffee from Packwood. And the bugling elk at night was a wonderful surprise. We had a busy weekend in Packwood and it was so wonderful to come "home" and just relax under the stars and the twinkle lights.
Super comfy house on a charming property in quiet neighbourhood. My family of 3 met up with siblings (3) before my son’s successful Mt Rainier summit! Relaxing time had by all, including our four dogs! Host even has pet covers to assist with keeping the dog hair at bay! Great stay. Thank you!
We booked this property for a girls birthday weekend escape and it was amazing! Between the group we went skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and sledding, all within 25 minutes of the house. All of the information and pictures on the listing are accurate. The property manager was very responsive and the check-in and check-out process was very simple. We all talked about possibly making this an annual location we try to go to.
Our host was nearby and responsive to our needs and questions. Clearly she takes pride in the property.
The Farmhouse was lovely. Very homey feel…like going home to visit. Kitchen had everything we could possibly need. Living area and bedrooms offered plenty of room and comfort.
Grounds were well kept with lots of places to hang out or to play. Being close to Mt Rainier was important.
We all talked about wanting to gather here again. But for a week next time!
Older but very well maintained home. The beds and couches were comfortable, the kitchen was large and brightly lit, and the garden was lush and beautiful. There was ample parking for our group; we had 8 people and never felt cramped.
My only complaint would be that the shared hottub is quite literally on the Farmhouse patio. We only had two guests come and use it while we were there, but it was quite akward for all of us since the hottub is not private at all from those occupying the house. It would benefit from having a privacy fence built around it.
We celebrated my fiancés birthday with friends and family at the Farmhouse! A really lovely house, stocked with anything you could think of to have a pizza bake off or a home made breakfast! The hot tub is shared which we did not realize, but it is nice that it is tucked to the side of the house for privacy. As a music lover, it was great to see not one, but two Bose Bluetooth speakers!
House was very clean, and communication was easy! Check in and check out was also very simple. Thanks so much for sharing your house with us!

I'm so glad that you enjoyed the house and found everything you needed for an enjoyable stay.
Thank you for leaving it in nice condition! We hope you will come again! Debbie
Impressed by the house and furnishings. Pictures are accurate. It was a little hard to find using Google maps. Only a few minor issues. One, the kitchen outlets along the sink wall were not working and neither was the garbage disposal. Two, the one shower did not have any conditioner in the dispenser and was not draining well. Three, the hot tub didn't smell or look super clean. We still used it and had a great time just some opportunities for improvement.

Hi Adam,
Thank you for the feedback. I'm sorry that you didn't let me know about the electrical issue before you left. It turned out that it was a breaker that tripped for some reason which could have been resolved if I had known. I'll remind the housekeeper to check the dispensers!! We are diligent about keeping the hot tub clean so I'm not sure what happened there? I appreciate your input. Thank you.
We stayed over the week of Christmas with our 4 adult kids. There was plenty of room for all of us and our 2 small dogs. To say the kitchen is well equipped is an understatement. It has every dish, pot, cooking utensils and any other items you normally have in a kitchen and more! There is also plenty of room for our dogs to play outside on their long (50ft) rope/leashes. They have towels and bowls for the dogs as well. It was very clean and the owner is very responsive. We discovered the coffee pot did not work and in a couple of hours, she had a new one delivered to us. This made for a very memorable Christmas for our family. Thank you very much. We would easily stay here again sometime. We may came back to see how it is in summer! We highly recommend this house.

Great accommodation but very poor communication
The Farmhouse was a cozy and relaxing place to enjoy the Packwood area. We did enjoy our stay, but we did not experience good communication from Moon Mountain Lodging. Less than 24 before our weekend arrival, I had not received any check in/arrival information from the host. I researched online to find the company that owned the house in order to call and figure out how we got into the home. In addition, we booked through VRBO and marked a dog would be staying at the house. After our visit, we were informed that we did not say a pet would be there (I have an email confirmation from VRBO that I did) and we were charged an additional fee. We never received any information from Moon Mountain Lodging or VRBO about needing to leave money at the home for the pet. I assumed it would be included in the online payments.
I hope the owners will provide better communication for future renters.

We brought the property in 1979 and raised our three kids here. We later decided that with our close connection to nature and proximity to two magnificent volcanic mountains, we needed to share our piece of paradise. Moon Mountain is the result of many loving hearts and talents that shared our vision for a place-away. Our intention was to create a place where people could explore all the beauty and multitude of outdoor activities and come back "home". Moon Mountain is a pet-friendly, family-friendly eco-tourist's dream retreat.
We have always committed to being the best stewards of the land possible. We nurture the land and continue to share it with the resident wildlife. We have NEVER used pesticides in 40 years of ownership! Our cabins were both salvaged from another location and restored. The farmhouse was built in the 1940's and has been updated to reflect our commitment to restoration.
Our green practices include FSC certified flooring, zero-VOC paints, low-flow toilets, energy-efficient appliances, all natural cleaning products, recycling, and refillable toiletries.
Our guests often comment that this place is special.
