We had a lovely stay here. Perfect place for two, near very good restaurants and close to beautiful hikes!

Convenient location but outdated and dirty!
We spent a couple of nights here in October and the unit was conveniently located close to downtown Banner Elk. However, our stay here was overall a disappointing one. There were no sheets for the sofa bed upon arrival so our kids had to sleep on towels our first night. The carpet was extremely dirty and home not thoroughly cleaned (litter on floor, stains on bedding). The heater did not work properly so we were freezing during the night. Do not recommend.

NO HEAT
Emailed property management about a review that was left for this unit having. Stating they had no heat. Management responded stating they were not aware of any heating issues. Do they not read the reviews? Arrived and sure enough the heat down stairs was not functioning properly. Notified management and they sent over maintenance. Maintenance inspected the heater and said it couldn’t be operated safely. Then fan would need replacing. They would bring me a space heater. A space heater was dropped off while we were out for dinner. We arrived back and found our door to be unlocked to our unit. Apparently management forgot to lock the door when they dropped the space heater off. The space heater was very small and didn’t keep the down stairs warm and that was with the gas fireplace going. We packed up and left the following day due to no heat. I’ve received no apology from management nor a offer for refund. I will not recommend renting anything that is managed by Vacasa.

Heater downstairs fan not working very cold downstairs had to use electric stove downstairs.
Was okay but walls are paper thin and could hear everything in the condo next door and they were having a party and the downstairs heat was an issue had to use electric stove for heat because the heat sources down there wouldn’t work . Don’t know what you would do on a severely cold night
