Hiking stay with dogs
We stayed with friends to go hiking at Roan Mountain and enjoy the quaintness of Beech Mountain. I can say this property is ideal for anybody with dogs. It exceed our expectations. We'll be back!

Great location
We came up to get away from the hustle and bustle of work and everything each of us has going on. This house definitely helped us unwind. Great location. The house had everything we needed but a pizza cutter but we used a knife so we were good. Those steps to the house will let you know that you're out of shape for sure. You will also use steps going to the firepit area as well. So keep that in mind (in case anyone has a issue with stairs) If you can definitely ride the alpine roller-coaster.

Good but bare minimum
The house has a strong musty smell after you walk in. It appeared to be clean, but some stuff just doesn't appear clean after being so old. We purchased batteries to the TV remotes so we could watch TV and we purchased coffee filters so we could make coffee (Coffee, coffee maker, and coffee grinder were there)--had to do the paper towel filter the first day, but now there are over 90 filters for future visitors! It would be helpful if there were instructions on how to enter the property and how to use the split units. We had to look up the model of the split units to be able to decipher what all the symbols meant on the remotes while we were freezing trying to heat the place. Also, parking in the driveway is on a different street, but make sure you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle to be able to access the entry to the driveway. We decided the safer option was to stay at the top of the property on the side of the road.

The cabin is in a great location, we loved the fireplace and enjoyed the view with a warm hot chocolate. The oven in the Kitchen it wasn't working well, but we could manage. Close to the cabin you can find restaurants, entertainment and markets. The cabin was clean, provided some wood and very cozy blankets, and they have a good wifi signal too. Definitely we will come back again! Take in mind that you have to walk stairs to go into the cabin , for us that wasn't a big problem, we love to hike ;)

Neat little place
For the price this little cabin was perfectly fine. There were a couple areas that needed attention, primarily the bathrooms, but otherwise it was fine. Location was great and the price was right. Would definitely stay again.
