Stay was great! Great home with a peaceful landscape! Just 5 minutes from town and colleges. Perfect for parents visiting their students in college! Definitely will stay here again!
We had a wonderful stay! The views from the pond are spectacular. We enjoyed fires every night in the fire pit. Spacious and well maintained old house. The owner was easy to reach and responded within minutes. Would stay again.
The farmhouse is a cool historic building and comes well stocked with all essential items for a comfortable stay. The description is very accurate. There are great views from the property and hiking the woods was fun. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will rent this again when we visit the Alfred area!
Our stay was lovely! The grounds are beautiful and home spacious, accommodating, clean and well stocked. Kier was always connected--before and during our stay--and he made the process very easy. Can't thank him enough! It was an enjoyable stay all around!
We chose this place cause it was close enough to Alfred University where my daughter attends. It was move out weekend so we needed to be close enough to move her out of her dorm. The host made it super easy to access the property and was very accommodating. Definitely will be on my list to stay at again for the next 3 years.
This place had everything we needed plus easy access to many of the places we were interested in visiting - Letchworth state park, Rochester, Wellsville, Alfred, Corning & the Corning museum of glass. The owner of this property is very easy to contact and offered to meet us at the door of this house when we arrived to help us move in and show us around.
Nicely furnished farm house in a quiet, wooded setting. Listen to the breeze through the trees. Lots of deer visiting the property throughout the day. 5 minutes from Alfred University. Perfect location. Expect to sleep in every day!
This host literally thought of everything.. to last detail as far as supplies. House was just as pictured, clean, anything you could think of needing was there. Will absolutely be back. Thank you so much!
We were looking for a nice place to stay in Alfred that was close to Alfred State college. This was it!! We were able to bring my son back and make him a home cooked meal for dinner. We were only 8 min away so bringing him back and forth was easy. We will be staying here again.
This rental is perfect for urbanites looking to get out of the city. It has everything you could need to spend a quiet, relaxed weekend in the outdoors.
Plenty of thrift shops in relatively close distance. Obly potential downside is - do not expect to use delivery services for food. If you want to eat good here, youll most likely be cooking.
Nice home, with a bit of sewage smell from the bathroom water. Clean, spacious, well-kept. Ground is uneven so take care with individuals who need assistance walking.

Occasionally the water has a slight smell of sulfur from the deep ground location of the well. Hopefully that was all you smelled. Thank you for staying with us.
My husband and I needed a place to stay while visiting our daughter and her family in the surrounding area. The property was perfect for our needs. While it is one floor living, the property is layed out wonderfully, and is quite spacious! Everything was as described as advertised. The property was extremely clean and inviting. We had our granddaughter over for 2 nights and she was extremely comfortable in the 2nd bedroom. We will definitely consider this property for future visits. And as a note….. MANY properties in the area would not rent over the New Years Holiday, so a special Thank You to Keir for taking a chance on us.
The water coming out of the faucets, had a sulfur smell, and when you babe, then it was very oily the bathtub and shower for a little bit difficult to stand on because of the slick surface.

Thank you for this information. I will let the water maintenance company know it needs service. And yes the floors are not level. Hope all is well on your trip home.
There was an overwhelming smell of mold as soon as we entered. Two, in my group of four, are allergic to mold and our throats started to close up within minutes of entering the home. The owners are clearly aware of it because there are damp mold packs everywhere. The two of us ended up having to find another place to stay for the two nights and we ended up paying for our part of the vrbo because it wasn’t fair to the others. We, obviously, will not stay there again.

I am sorry to read this review. I am actually allergic to mold and have never found that to be an issue there. The house is an old one as noted in the listing and has old house aromas. The carpets are all less than 3 years old and the house is heated and dry. We do have Bamboo Charcoal Purifying Bags with Activated Charcoal as Air Fresheners hanging around as they give off a nice smell and assist with the old home. As I never heard any correspondence from you during your stay I was unaware of your issues nor given a chance to make any adjustments. I wish you good luck in your future stays at places. Take care.
Cute place. Perfect for our needs. Ideal location for school visits.
Easy-peasy. And Kier is such a gentleman and a very responsive communicator.
