Cosmo's crossing provides an amazing getaway tucked back in the woods where you can reconnect with nature and enjoy all the beauty and adventure northern Minnesota has to offer at this small private campground/ small farm. Mix relaxing in this cozy barn(including heat for chilly spring nights, AC for those hot days) with the adventure of many local state parks, lakes including Mille Lacs and casinos.Meet and hang out with the goats as well as Zeus and Daisy our mini cows. Off grid with full solar. Composting toilet inside as well as water for cooking and hand washing but no shower (outdoor shower in progress of being built). Microwave and grill with pot burner for cooking. Two loft beds as well as 2 couches that fold down into beds.

Cozy cabin in the woods with air conditioning and heating nestled back in the woods across a pond on 5 acres of country land. Our family home as well as Kings corner (our second location which is an RV across the pond from you) are also spaced out on the property but your cabin has its very own space, parking for any toys you bring and a large private yard in a beautiful wooded area across the pond with a deck, fire table and grill. This cabin is off grid, full solar with a back up generator ( we provide a gas can for you to use, you provide your own gas if you need it) which has not needed to be used yet but is there just in case. Knife lake 1 mile away and Mille Lacs lake 30 minutes both great for fishing.

Disclaimer**You may rarely hear music from a neighbor usually on weekends. Dock is very sturdy but may feel a little wobbly to those not used to crossing such a long dock without railings, must be comfortable crossing.

Nice little getaway

This was a nice little getaway from the cities and enjoy some nature. The host was more than accommodating, any questions we had he answered. It was pretty private and I had my dogs with me and they loved it and got to roam around the cabin too. I would definitely book again!

Girls weekend

This tiny barn cabin was the perfect weekend get away for a girl’s weekend. It’s was a great place to sit back and relax. The cabin was cozy and cutely decorated. We enjoyed meeting the farm animals and swimming in the salt water pool. There’s a great cider house near by that offered a food truck and music. The host was very helpful and quick to respond to questions. Great weekend and we would highly recommended.

Great Experience

An amazing location. The tiny house is very secluded with plenty of privacy. Clean house, styled very well. The owner was great and prompt with communication. When I needed something, the owner was at the house within 10 minutes with what it was I needed. I will be back again for another awesome getaway. 10/10 recommend

A break from the city.

We were looking to experience tiny home living with our kids and found Jesse's barn on VRBO. The location was perfect, not too far from home but far enough away from the city lights. Jesse was the perfect host and even helped us jump start our car due to a bad battery at the end of our stay. Our favorite part of the stay was swimming in the pool surrounded by chickens and goats. The barn was tiny like we imagined but was still a perfect size for our family of 5 plus our dog. We will definitely book again. Thank you for a great stay!

Pay attention to the fine print

I was getting away from the city for some nice solitude. This property is not ‘at’ Knife lake it is on a small swamp/pond. Upon arrival, I was confused to see the small cabin across a long very old dock with no railing (see fine print). The property did not have a lock on the door, which made me feel very unsafe. When I spoke to the owner (as I left immediately) and explained there was no lock I was told the description didn’t say there would be a lock (fine print) My response: doors have locks. He then explained the property was secluded (maybe thinking my request was silly). My response : exactly. I left to go back home. The exchange confirmed my unsafe feeling. Fast forward 2+ hours he had installed a lock. Expected me to head back up or no money back. Needless to say I didn’t go back. Would not recommend.

I offered to change the lock out to a keyed lock before you left. When you mentioned that you felt unsafe I explained that it would take a couple hours to replace the slide lock with a keyed lock that's when you stated you would like to cancel the reservation and I let you know that you could do that through the app. Later you threatened a bad review because we couldn't give you a refund as you never cancelled the reservation therefor we couldn't fill any of the dates as you kept them blocked from other guests. Remember with your next stay that communication is key and attitude is everything. We wish you the best

Great weekend

We had a great time here and enjoyed the experience of a tiny house on a unique property. The manager was really kind and helpful. With state parks close by we had a great fall hike with beauty everywhere

Love love loved our stay!!

We absolutely loved our stay here!! Communication with the host was excellent and we loved his hospitality. The cabin was decorated so cute, and sitting on the deck at night was our favorite. We will definitely stay again, and we highly recommend it!!

Great Getaway!

The location was exactly as described. Communication from the host was fantastic. They were very responsive to messages and even schedule a phone call to review several things before check-in. It was a boys trip. The property was great to explore as well as the surrounding areas.
