Come enjoy our newly rebuild, open concept, family heirloom year around. The Little Yellow Cabin has been a place where over 3 generations of family and friends have gathered, enjoying Mille Lacs Lake and the simple pace of Isle, MN. Park your car and get ready! If you need to drop your boat or watercraft, there are 2 public access points (pictures attached). Castles Resort is also across the street if you are interested in a fishing launch or renting a boat. When we are not on the lake, we are enjoying a campfire, relaxing on the porch, or uptown getting a coffee, massage, or hanging out at the local tavern or bowling alley. And if that's not enough, we ride bikes to the local state park or jump on the Soo Line trail and ride to Walkon for lunch. We have thoughtfully designed the cabin to accommodate all visitors. Our kitchen's pass-through window will connect the cook with the guests on the porch while still being able to enjoy your guest at the kitchen island. The Bunk room for all ages and the many entrances allowing everyone to have their own space. Jeanne's Porch is the best place to relax and enjoy the outdoors while being inside. Love sitting on the private upper deck watching lake life! We hope that your experience at the Little Yellow Cabin will leave lasting memories as it has for our family and friends. A couple more things for your stay: - Parking for your truck and trailer! -Pontoons available to rent at Castles Resort (call resort for lake access options). -Fishing launch across street too! -City Park/Beach/Fish 2min walk.

No complaints at all. It was clean and comfortable. Close to the lake, cute shops on their main drag, a grocery store and bakery. Slept well and had everything we could have asked for.
This property is wonderful! Great location, great house! Very nicely decorated, clean, cozy and a wonderful place to stay in. Definitely looking forward to booking this property again next year!
We all really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is absolutely gorgeous!! Owner was great about communicating with us throughout the stay. Would absolutely stay again! So relaxing!!
It was the perfect size and so cozy. My friends and I all had a blast for our last hoorah! Not only was the property amazing but the town of Isle was so welcoming and fun (especially the pickleball courts)!
Great stay in an adorable little town, close to grocery store and a block from the lake and a park. Great for relaxing with family, kid friendly. Home has everything we needed, good for multi-family stays. Books and games for kids. Great access to the Soo Line trail, blocks from Father Hennepin State Park, there was plenty to keep us busy.
The property was clean, open, and bright. A great place. And the owner was very helpful when I asked questions about the place before booking. The only issue we encountered was that the beds were all kinda stiff, and we have multiple people with bad backs in our family.
A few of us scheduled a fishing guide on Mille Lacs lake and needed a place to stay. There are some small resorts and a Casino hotel around, but to find a VRBO was a great call to be able to have our own rooms, but yet a private place to hang out before and after fishing.
This yellow cabin can easily sleep 6, but you can get more in. The kitchen could be very useful if you are staying longer. We didn't cook, but there is equipment to do so at your disposal.
They have a firepit in the backyard to hang out in the beautiful Minnesota evenings.
Short walk to the lake and a public park to sit and watch the water and boats. It's on the south end of the lake so you won't get a sunrise or sunset.
It's also convenient to be able to walk to the grocery store and some bars and restaurants.
This home is fantastic!! Love the renovation work done in there and the general layout. One point of feedback we have is the queen bed downstairs seems pretty heavily used and might need to be replaced. The two sides where folks have been sleeping are quite a bit "sunk in" to the point where it was more preferred just to stay on the couch due to the bed being uncomfortable.
Again, this home is fantastic though and I would give it 5 stars over and over again.
Our stay here was great! Property was exactly as shown in the pictures and the hosts put a lot of effort into making sure this cabin has all the “extras” that show they went above and beyond. This place was recently remodeled and they did an amazing job with everything being brand new.
Teens enjoyed the upstairs bunk space and nice patio/ fire pit. Quiet town convenient to the state park. Nice and clean with updated appliances and layout. We loved quiet time away from the city!
Beautiful home, convenient location, everything you can want on a lake getaway. The home is beautifully decorated, every ounce of space is utilized for family togetherness.
Our family had an absolutely wonderful time staying in the Little Yellow House. It was immaculate and well stocked with everything we needed.
We loved all the porches and places to "hang out" on the property.
The owner was available for questions whenever we had one and super easy to work with. She also recommended a place to rent a pontoon boat which worked out great. It's on a gorgeous lake, too!
We highly recommend this unique, cozy yet spacious home!!

About the host

My best friend, Rachelle, helped me rebuild my mom's cabin. Her name was Jeanne, and she loved this place. The cabin has many personal touches in memory of her. She passed away from breast cancer too young. This cabin is a place that friends and family gather year around. In early July, 3 generations of families and friends spend a week together building memories. The current "Yellow Cabin" is on the exact footprint of the original of 1904. Come enjoy:)
Why they chose this property
This property will the meet the needs of everyone in your family of all ages. Great indoor and outdoor spaces year-around. I grew up in this cabin and want to share it with you. There is something magical about this place!
What makes this property unique
Nestled in a quiet community walking distance to all amenities in addition to the incredible outdoor experience of the lake and other outdoor activities for the entire family. It is also a great place for a romantic get-a-away!
