About this property

Peacefull hilltop cottage with huge ocean views!

A hilltop setting among the pines, great for a romantic get-a-way or a serine, getaway for the individual. The property is extremely private with expansive ocean views from every window and a relaxing patio for sunsets. Above the fog line (usually). 3 miles to the beach and 4 to town. Many guests find themselves, just hanging out, a very relaxing and soothing property. Many birds including Pileated woodpecker and Quail. Incredible night skies! Very, very clean (my wife) and comfortable. See photos. Every year we plant new flowers, lots of new improvements, new heating system, new hot water heater, new bed and bedding and new paint. As hosts, we respect your privacy and will strive to make you as comfortable as possible.

Great property. So peaceful and relaxing, being able to enjoy the evenings outside without traffic noise was perfect! Loved the flowers and hummingbirds as well! Had a great selection of cookware and utensils, as well as the bathroom. Such a great stay, thank you for the hospitality!

This property was exactly as advertised. The hosts (Steve & Beth) were gracious and willing to accomodate any requests, although we had zero requests. It was the perfect setting, right above the fog line. It was rural while just minutes from town. We would stay there again.

Very clean and quiet. Host was excellent and non intrusive. One thing that is not stated is the host is 30 feet from your entrance to theirs. That said they did not interfere with our trip at all and if you need anything just ask. The wildlife and flowers are amazing. This is a reset quiet and serene spot for two people.

This cottage was wonderful! We enjoyed our stay. It is in a very peaceful setting with views of the sea. There are many beautiful flowers in window boxes along the porch. The furniture was very comfortable and it is quaint decor. There was a bit of confusion on my end previous to check-in, as we normally receive advance directions from the host on how to access the property, but it was cleared up after I spoke with Stephen on the phone. I would love to come back someday and stay here again. Perfect for a getaway with your significant other!

Hosts Steven and Beth are great, super nice and accommodating. Views to the ocean are really good, though facing a bit more south. Good area for birding. Driving to Samuel Boardman Corridor is easy and into Brookings about 10 minutes drive. Very peaceful stay!

We decided to celebrate our 36th anniversary in Brookings and took a chance on this little place. It did not disappoint! STUNNING VIEWS!! MUST STAY!! Between the beautiful flowers, trees, birds, the ocean views and the unbelievable amount of stars in the night sky, we just can't say enough how much we loved our stay at the cottage. It was so comfortable and cozy inside and peaceful and relaxing outside, we felt instantly at home. I loved drinking my coffee outside so I could just take it all in. Steven and Beth have created a truly magical place and we're so thankful we got to have such an amazing experience.

We had an absolutely wonderful and relaxing stay. The outdoor scenery was super lush with views from every angle. The inside was very spacious, and the kitchen was great for cooking! There were lots of cool nearby sights, such as secluded beach views that Steven generously recommended. Overall, the area was very immersive with the surrounding nature. We even got to see a baby bear about 3 minutes out. We had such a good time and would recommend the place to anyone!

What makes this property unique

Serenity! we are about a mile and a half (as a crow flies) from the ocean. The view is very expansive! One looks over the tree tops to the sea. Peacefulness abounds. Lots of beautiful flowers all around the property. Many guests spend full days here rather than doing something else. We are 5 min. to the beach, 10 min. to town. Lots of great eateries available.
