Stayed there for Christmas. Nice property with a fenced yard, great for parties with pets. Wood stove and fire pit were great for setting the mood. Plenty of good firewood provided and the first place providing axes for splitting, thanks! The house is well equipped. Some of the things you don't see often: zone heaters, air fresheners, actually sharp knives and a knife sharpener. The host has decorated the house for Christmas and even put up a tree, so we had a place to put our gifts - nice touch!Things to note: the floor plan is a bit unusual with the main floor being upstairs. The property is across the road from a small airport where small private airplanes take off. We loved watching them, but if you want complete silence - that's the only thing that interrupts it a couple of times a day. A large-ish grocery store is about 35 minutes away, but we found that the local market had everything we needed. There is a brewery/distillery 10 minutes walk away - highly recommend!Overall, very nice place and a friendly host. And if you stay there, don't forget to come out at night and look at the sky.
Had a great stay up in the pines / mountains. The cabin and property was great overall. Please note that the master bedroom, living area and kitchen are "upstairs". All in all, it was great. Location is amazing and enjoyed seeing the planes take off / land. Very friendly neighbors. Great memories made!

Animal on roof, possibly in the attic
Sliding doors could not be unlocked, maybe that’s because the balcony has wood rot and is unsafe. Noises all night from some kind of animal on the roof, it was expensive and the photos were deceiving, it was much smaller than it looked in the photos and was an odd configuration. It has a narrow staircase leading out the front door and no air conditioning on the first floor, so it was uncomfortably warm. All that for $2,000+, not worth it at all. I left after a few days, and it was hard to stay for that long. Even my dog was unsettled by the noises.
We enjoyed the events in the area.
We were a bit surprised about all the stairs however. One of the family has Rheumatoid arthritis and was very difficult for him to get up the stairs. We were surprised to see the kitchen and living room area at the top of the stairs.
Very nice place and perfect for anyone with a pet. The fenced yard was exactly what we were looking for and our Golden Retriever loved the backyard so much it was hard to get him to come inside sometimes. Only issue we had was with getting the TV to work. Owner was quick to respond and get it working for us. Listing says there is a hot tub, but there is not one on the property. A little disappointed about that. Area is very quiet. Would definitely come back. If I could offer one suggestion, leave more detailed information on how things work. Like TV, heater, etc. Too much information always better than not enough. :)
This place was in a great location as we were using the stay to look at properties to buy for ourselves. It’s close to several restaurants and grocery stores. We were even able to make a trip up to the ski resort, which wasn’t too far away. we had a great time!
Cabin was clean, well stocked and in quite and peaceful area. Property owner was great for the one question I had. Just inquired how they wanted linens and trash taken care of.
Host was great, very good communication. Beds were comfortable, place was very clean, all appliances works well and well stocked kitchen. We would definitely stay again.
We enjoyed our time getting out of the heat. The outdoor space was perfect to enjoy the cooler temps and afternoon rainstorms. The cabin was perfect for our family, would stay again.
I noticed the stairs outside but I did not notice the stairs inside, that you need to use to go in and out of the cabin. Had an issue and the host was spot on it! Enjoyed our stay very much, and the kitchen and bathrooms were spotless.
We really had a great weekend and this beautiful cabin was perfect for our family. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The property is fenced and very spacious. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes and such to cook meals. Host was great and responded via messages in a timely manner. Overall great place to stay. Would highly recommend
Property is well maintained and everything you would want is provided for. Great location for hiking and yard is so easy with dogs that we could relax and enjoy the beautiful mountain air. Definitely would recommend as a close and convenient place to stay.
We had a very relaxing time at this VRBO. It was perfect for our dogs who could run around the back yard without worry. There was plenty of privacy. It rained both nights but we didn't care the sound of the rain and the light show of the lightening made it very comfortable. We took walks around the neighborhood and felt very safe doing so. We played games at night and made our own meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. There were plenty of blankets in case you tend to get chilly. The only thing we ran into was that the TV remotes did not work. We could turn the TV on and adjust sound directly on the TV but the remotes themselves did not work for the TV or Firestick. We tried changing batteries but I think the ones we had were also not working. It could be that all they needed were new batteries. There are steps in the house from where you enter and two of the bedrooms and bath are that go to the upper level where the third bedroom, the 2nd bath, living room, dining room and kitchen were. If anyone had difficulty with steps I wouldn't recommend but it was fine for us even though we were all seniors. WIFI worked well, TV allowed many different show venues if you have passwords to your own services. The deck was large and view was wonderful. We were there in September and it was still very hot in Tucson but felt like fall there. It was wonderful. There's a hammock and a swing on the lower level which was nice for relaxing. There is a fire pit but no grill so if that is important to you, bring your own from home. The home was great for the dogs. You can tell that the owners are dog people.
We all really enjoyed ourselves. In fact, one of us rebooked for Christmas already.
