About this property

Beautiful and Roomy Country Setting

Our home is available to be your temporary home. Quiet setting with huge country kitchen (full appliances and with lots of new pots, pans and dishes), dining room where you can eat and play lots of games. The living room features a gas fireplace for those cooler spring and fall nights. We are located very near Mohawk Ski area and so many other all season activities

The master suite features a balcony that overlooks the back forest and is a must see for evening cocktails and late night sitting watching the stars. Sleeping arrangements include three queen rooms; two of which have convertible chairs for sleeping. A love sac is also there!

Spacious house. Clean and very well stocked even for cooking a full thanksgiving dinner. Brought wood and was looking forward to using firepit but it was propane and not available in the fall.

Maureen’s home is so beautiful- the area where is this is so beautiful. This is our 2nd and truthfully I will only come back here. Everything we needed is supplied. The Host Maureen is very responsive-caring, thoughtful and very sweet.You won’t be disappointed!

A nice weekend with our thru hiker

Close to Appalachian Trail. We were able to feed our hiker well and he could do his laundry and sleep in a bed a couple of nights. Hoist was very responsive to our questions. Thank you.

Peaceful & Tranquil Hime

We needed to stay near our children but couldn’t find anything closer than Cornwall, CT. This home is so amazing and sweet. It is so quiet, peaceful and charming. The owner is super friendly and answers questions immediately. We didn't have any trouble with anything in the home, the house rules, and everything is just wonderful. We ventured out to Kent CT and what a spectacular time we had. Book your next CT & NY trip!

Spacious location with easy access to Lime Rock

We had a wonderful stay while we were participating in an event at Lime Rock. The home was spacious and comfortable. Maureen was great to communicate with and was accommodating of some potential last minute changes.

I have lived my entire adult life in the northwest corner. My children were raised in our beautiful home and one of the primary reasons I share it with guests is so that we can continue to celebrate family gatherings here. Long time empty nester, the house is really too big for one person and 2 dogs so I moved to a smaller home but keep this for those special events with the family and friends as well as our own weekend getaway

Why they chose this property

Cornwall is a delightful town. It’s a draw to many celebrities and the reason is it’s so very private.

What makes this property unique

The house is a perfect place for families to gather. Over this past holiday we had siblings visit from around the country and it’s so comfortable for all to make it home for a short stay. We are also near to Mohawk for skiing or hiking or kayaking and all that the Litchfield hills has to offer.
