About the host
Hosted by Lisa Bolster

As new homeowners in Molise (2019) we are thrilled on a daily basis, to explore and discover the beautiful gem of a region, that is Molise. And like anything we have a passion for in life, sharing becomes a part of the joy. Tavenna became our destiny, not just our destination, when we were searching for a home, and in a way we feel like we are hosting the city along with Casa Rosa because every aspect is so intrinsically woven. As native New Yorkers with immigrant relatives, we embrace the family values, traditions and way of life of the people in Tavenna; to us it feels a bit like a window to how our families may have lived in Italy years ago, and we regret that some of those things were lost over time.
Our desire is to live with splendor, marvel at the amazing unspoiled nature, eat the spectacular food, and drink the fabulous and distinctive wines of Molise, then meet our guests and pass on the secrets of our amazing great fortune!
Enjoy! Kris & Lisa

Why they chose this property
Tavenna is a hilltop city comprised mainly of stone structures. In name, Tavenna traces back in History over a thousand years. It is an amazing place to witness modern living in an ancient setting; it is a place that has been watched over and respected by it's people. Tavennese people are warm and inviting, and it is a great privilege (when a B & B is located in a village such as this) to be able to share and enjoy the city daily, in a way that families have for generations. The city is an enchanting place to wander and enjoy old structures with unique brick and plasterwork, centuries old ironwork on windows and balconies, and narrow alleys that stir images of lifetimes of activity. Two lovely markets, a butcher and a baker, as well as mobile food and household goods vendors are able to keep you well supplied if you have a get-away of tranquil seclusion in mind, or a short drive to a few of the nearby cities, (which feel like they are autonomous and in concert with each other at the same time) will have you luxuriating in the untouched natural magnificence of Molise while dining or shopping, beaching, or sight-seeing.
What makes this property unique
