Spacious 3 bedroom house with large deck is perfect to enjoy the mountain air and wildlife. 45 minutes from downtown Charleston, WV and centrally located between the Hatfield-McCoy and Mountwood atv trails with access to hundreds of miles of scenic public roads suitable for atv on-road trips. Quite and family friendly

Loved our stay. It was perfect for our dogs. It's a quite place with a great view of sunsets. Wonderful host. Will definitely be back.

Quiet private and clean

We loved our stay, it was a cute, clean house and plenty of space to walk our dog. Carol was super nice and very responsive and helpful. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in town.

Weekend Getaway

Was a terrific weekend getaway location. We love the outdoors and staying in the country instead of a hotel. Would have like to have had a dishwasher, grab bar in bathroom, and an outside grill but we didn't stop us from totally enjoying our stay.

This property is set in a beautiful location. Secluded yet convenience nearby. The property owner is the most gracious host and a wealth of knowledge on the area. Couldn’t be happier with our entire experience. We very highly recommend the property !

My daughter was getting married on Saturday in Kenna. We stayed there the night before, along with her bridesmaids and future MIL. The house was so clean, and had everything we needed! The beds were comfortable too. The owner even made us some homemade muffins, and left a sweet welcome note! That was so thoughtful! We didn’t get to explore outside much bc it was late when we checked in, and we left early the next morning. Overall, excellent place to stay!

Great VRBO House and Host!

This was a great experience from prebooking through arriving back home. Carol is the best VRBO host we've had. She was quick to respond to our questions before and after booking, and she was very responsive and friendly during our stay. The house is great, in a quiet location well off the beaten path, clean and well maintained. We will not hesitate to stay there again if it's available next time we visit the area. Thanks for a great house and host!

What a nice relaxing place. The home is in immaculate condition. There is a vast area that we enjoyed walking our dogs around. If you're looking to go out multiple times each day this may not be for you. There's a one lane road to the last four or five miles into the property. The Internet was very fast and cell service was also good. It was a perfect spot to unplug and unwind.

Perfect for family

The house is everything promised and more. Immaculately clean with plenty of space for our family (2 adults, 3 children). Carol is an incredible host. Not only did she check to make sure that we got settled in, but made a cake for our family. I couldn’t recommend this listing higher if you are willing to get off the beaten path and into a spot of seclusion.

Nice clean and quiet

Very clean, very quiet, very nice place would Def use again. If there is downside, the road leading to the place as I was on a motorcycle wasn't the most friendly environment for that situation. Also the TV situation left a little to be desired. However all in all very clean very quiet very comfortable place

Country retreat

This home, and the Hostess, Carol were a Godsend! We were property hunting for our forever home and stayed here while we looked. I can’t possibly say enough great things about how beautiful the property is to visit. Carol is a most gracious hostess and extremely knowledgeable about all things Jackson County. The property is well appointed and conveniently located near amenities…but secluded so you can just enjoy the nature. If we hadn’t finally found a home I’d stay here again!! Highly recommend the property and the experience! And did I mention we absolutely love Carol! ☺️

Weekend getaway

We chose this house for a central meeting point with our kids (and new grandbaby). We had amazing time, just hanging out and being together. The property is very secluded and quiet. We brought everything with us for meals. The kitchen is well equipped for meal preparation.. The house was very clean and comfortable.. We did not leave the house all weekend. So, i do not know much about what is available in the area. Overall a great experience! Carol was a great host and was available for anything that we needed.

Home away from home

Beautiful property, full kitchen, Laundry, secure and very clean. Owner is very nice and informative about events in the area. Spacious for family or 3 couples, with outside deck on 2 sides to enjoy the evenings or days.
