Cabin and surroundings were perfect. Remote, beautiful views, so clean and the perfect escape from reality. Few tourists and amazing sights. Could not ask for anything more. So thankful for the hospitality.

I’m thankful you enjoyed your stay with us! Come back again soon! 😊
The property is absolutely gorgeous! Communication was very fast. The only i woukd say is fridge is just a hotel size so careful what you bring up without coolers. Also, when she says get stuff before you go up shes not kidding lol
Dreadful host she should be removed from your site
This host was uncommunicative from the start. We arrived after a long journey to check into our cabin. The host happened to be there watering plants, she had double booked her cabin. We had no where to go at that time of night. She suggested we drive back an hour away and pay to stay at a motel ! She seriously could not care less that we were so inconvenienced. Absolutely appalling.
The property is in an area with no service so the only thing you are reliant on is the Wi-Fi. The power generator went out on the second day and we were left with no electricity or service to make any calls. When we went to the emergency address listed in there no one opened the door. Overall very dangerous and unsafe, critters everywhere in the house.

Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
We rented a two-bedroom cabin for Memorial Day Weekend because I snore and my son, just back from an 18-month deployment in the Persian Gulf with the Navy, needed his own room. He wanted to see mountains and trees, something he missed in Bahrain.
After driving hundreds of miles, we arrived only to find a note stating the cabin had power issues, and our host had moved us to a smaller, one-room cabin. This left our son no choice but to sleep in the back of our Jeep Wrangler. Our efforts to contact the host were futile, and a visit to their home was met with barking dogs.
Mineral King Rd., notorious for its treacherous conditions, is not safe to navigate in the dark. We waited until dawn to get the hell out of there.
The night was filled with helplessness, leaving us feeling unsafe and anxious—an experience we wouldn't wish on anyone.
TERRIBLE!!!The listing failed to disclose several critical details about the property. Most importantly, the cabin operates on battery power with a generator backup. Had we known this beforehand, we would not have booked the property. The host provided good communication before arrival and clear directions, but the travel conditions were not accurately represented. The final 7 miles to the cabin took approximately 45 minutes on a narrow, one-lane mountain road with steep drop-offs.Upon arrival, the cabin itself was clean and as pictured, though fairly basic. We carefully followed all instructions regarding electrical usage because we were warned that using certain appliances could overload the system. At approximately 3:00 a.m., the power completely failed. We were left in total darkness with no cell service and no way to contact anyone for assistance. Given the remote location and lack of communication options, we felt unsafe and decided to leave.Once we reached the main road and found a coffee shop with service around 6:00 a.m., we contacted the host. We were told we should have gone to another cabin during the night and were assured the battery system was functioning properly. However, after spending hours without power in a remote location, we were not comfortable returning. We requested a partial refund due to the undisclosed battery-powered electrical system and the loss of power during our stay. The host refused and also opposed our refund request through VRBO.
This little cabin is exactly as described, 2 bedrooms, kitchenette with a small refrigerator and cooktop. No “living room” space, but tons of socializing space on the porch. The road in was windy and bit smaller, steeper than I had originally thought, but very navigable. Host provided excellent directions and checked in us. Only down side was the heat wave going through the area, but still cooler than LA.
Nice, Rustic, two room cabin. When first arriving we were surprised and thought the listing was incorrect but on re-reading realized it was correct. This is a two room cabin with a bed in each room, small kitchenette and small restroom.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and made use of the outdoor seating areas. The cabin is located up a mountain and surrounded by oak trees and stunning views.
The host is friendly and helpful. It was a great place to disconnect from the city and reconnect with nature.
