Grandma B’s House - Walk Downtown De Soto, KS
Welcome to Grandma B's House, a 1920's Victorian farmhouse in the small town of De Soto, KS in our quaint downtown area with parks, shopping, restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. De Soto is located an easy 15-20 minute drive from the larger communities of Lawrence & Kansas City Metro.
This three bedroom, 2 bath home is comfortably decorated with antiques and vintage pieces to help you reminisce of days gone by. Experience the nostalgia of small town Kansas.
The home has been recently renovated to add modern conveniences while keeping the original charm of 1920's America.
Enjoy coffee on the front or back covered front porches or walk downtown for a fresh cup. On the first floor you will find an formal living and dining rooms, updated kitchen and full bath with shower over tub. The living room features a sleeper sofa, comfy chair, smart TV, vintage radio with record player, games and a little free library. A gorgeous glass chandelier will greet you in the formal dining room with seating for eight as well as a window seat and dedicated workspace with desk, lamp, adjustable height chair and router. Our farmhouse kitchen is fully stocked, complete with a coffee and tea bar and has room at the island for a quick breakfast or extra helpers to sit and chat.
Upstairs are three private bedrooms with closets and a hall bathroom with a tiled shower.
Please note that both entrances to the home have steps. On the main level there is a full bath, sofa, and a sleeper sofa, but all bedrooms are on the second level and require guests to be able to climb a full staircase. Guests are required to sign a simple rental agreement prior to accessing the home.
