Stayed at this property/ but never again

I received an email the morning after my stay listing many items that I was told were damaged during my stay. ( I had purchased the insurance.) When I told the owners that there was an extremely bad storm and that the storm possibly caused the damage outside because I knew I didn’t damage the outdoor table, etc. I was then told he would look at the video and get back to me. The owner never got back to me telling me he looked at the video and saw how the damage happened that night. I was showing someone the picture of what the owner claimed I damaged …broken piece of wood off patio table and it had mold on it. It was not a recent break off the patio table. I would not stay here again and after this experience I felt as though I was being monitored inside. When I asked if they were videotaping me inside with ring doorbell or whatever they denied but it was weird. The damages were extremely high for low end items and old items. When I made comments about how the can opener didn’t work, the floor on the kitchen was dirty, it took me forever to find the remote to use a TV, the response was “the can opener did work”. I’ve used can openers for 40+ years and it didn’t work. I am not stupid. When I told the owner about the remote I was told I could have contacted them. It was after midnight when I first even tried to use the TV. I’m not sending a message at midnight asking for help with TV. I eventually found remote upstairs.

Great stay at Hidden Gem!

The house was beautiful! The check-in process and communication with the property owner was so easy. My family and I enjoyed spending our Christmas here!
