HERITAGE LOG CABIN: Delight in the nostalgia of old world charm of hand-cut log & chink walls, rustic stone fireplace, original wide plank wood floors, rough-cut cedar & log ceilings, covered rocking chair front porch…. blended with the modern comforts of central heat & air conditioning, remote controlled gas logs, Jacuzzi bath tub, high speed wireless Internet, stainless kitchen appliances, plus the added luxury of an awesome massage chair, 50 inch HDTV & DVD player, lots of DVD movies, HDTVs/DVDs in both bedrooms, ultra-plush King and Queen beds, skylights, exquisite furniture and décor....and a fire pit for marshmallow roasts. Davy Crockett never had it so good!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is fantastic and so completely authentic and rustic, which is just what we love! We would definitely stay there again. We so loved the sweet birds on the porch - watching them going and coming from their birdhouses! It rained just about the entire time we were there, but that is something we have no control over.

Cabin was old, but clean and welcoming, & well stocked. There were a few spiders that other renters also commented about...maybe due to age of cabin? Our biggest complaint was that the cabin is very dark, even with all the lights on. Maybe changing to higher wattage LEDs would be an option. It was farther to Asheville than we thought, which is where most of our vacation was spent. Road construction added time to our commute for a total of 45-60 minutes. All in all, we enjoyed our stay would stay there again.

Heritage stay

It was easy to check in. The house was lovely, a little musty when we entered. Had everything we needed and more. The outside amenities were great. Loved the porch swing. Great linens, plenty of towels. We really enjoyed our time. The only negative thing was one of the neighbors had a barking dog out at night for hours, but that wasn't the owners fault.
