Peaceful Maine getaway
The property is nicely situated on a hill overlooking a pretty cove with small boats moored here and there. The water is across the street down a hill and r here are a lot of trees between the house and the water so you can’t really see the water too well, unless you walk there. Access to the water is across the street and down a long private driveway; it is not on the property itself, but it’s not inconvenient to get to.
The house was perfect for my partner and I to spend a week working on writing projects that we both have. It was in a quiet neighborhood, with only a random car driving by once in a while.
We enjoyed sitting on the dock at the waters edge with folding chairs from the house deck furniture, a picnic and our laptops. It’s a very quiet body of water; no big power boats buzzing through so it’ll be peaceful if that’s what you want. You can rent a kayak and keep it there too.
We had the upper floor of the house and there was another family staying on the ground floor. They kept to themselves and were hardly there and as we were working on our projects didn’t ever see them.
Both units share a big gas grill in the yard that worked perfectly.
