Completely escape to this 100 year old oceanfront log cottage. Astonishingly cozy with a classic rustic feel but updated with a modern kitchen and amenities. This cottage is one spacious room with a queen bed and pull out couch. The well equipped kitchen is a separate room. Perfect for a couple looking for a quiet getaway or a small family in search of a seaside adventure.
Enjoy the expansive deck that sits over the water at high tide. Watch Bald Eagles and Osprey fish for hours. Paddle the protected cove on the two, single-person kayaks provided for your use. Fish, swim, launch the kayaks, and stargaze from the dock. You will not find a more peaceful spot to refresh and reset.

We've stayed at this quiet little waterfront cabin several times and have always enjoyed it. This year was no exception. The hosts are responsive and the check-in and check-out processes are seamless. The availability of two kayaks allows us to enjoy the ospreys, eagles, and cormorants that inhabit the cove. This year the dishwasher failed unexpectedly, which didn't present a serious problem because the two of us ate out or with friends several times and primarily used the kitchen for breakfast. Without our requesting it, our hosts thoughtfully gave us a partial refund to compensate for the dishwasher's failure. We have sent the hosts some suggestions for some ways to enhance the experience of staying at the cabin.

A Relaxing Private Getaway

Our stay was incredible. The property was in a perfect spot to watch the sunrise, spot bald eagles and seals on the harbor, and relax over a long weekend. The cabin is gorgeous, with a beautiful deck that serves as a perfect place for breakfast, lunch, and evening drinks. 15/10.

Great time off the grid

Rick and Mark were wonderful hosts. The location is fantastic, with a deck literally over the ocean. It is simple yet has all the trappings for a relaxing time. Fresh seafood—lobster, clams, and oysters—is a few miles away. It is a comfortable place with incredible sunsets and sunrises - just be sure the coffee is on for the early mornings. Summer Tranquility

The historic cottage is well appointed with everything you need for a summer respite. There is a large picture window that gives a beautiful waterfront view. The large deck is equipped with a table and chairs for dinning with a carryout from the Pemaquid Lobsterman's Co-op. The Adirondack chairs are perfect for your summer read. IT IS SO QUIET THERE. A Quiet Cove in Maine

This cozy waterfront cabin directly on the water was a perfect getaway for my husband and I. Lots of peace and quiet, comfortable bed, free use of 2 kayaks off the private dock on the property, beautiful hiking trails less than 10 minutes drive away, and about 45 minute drive to Boothbay. Our host Rick was warm and friendly and accessible if we had any questions. We love this area of Maine and our stay was wonderful!

Peaceful getaway

In our experience this is one of the most beautiful places we have visited. The cabin on the cove was private, with an amazing view from the windows and large deck. We enjoyed the kayaks but mainly watching the tides, birds wood duck family and shooting stars. The cabin was as described, with a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable bed. A perfect couple getaway. Lots of wonderful trails and places to eat lobster.
