This is a beautiful house right on the River. It is very spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is not small! We were able to stop in here during our rafting trip for a lovely air conditioned lunch break when it was 100 degrees outside. Everything was great for us!
Owners watch and listen to your every move and word with video surveillance
We were 2 families moving to the area. After a1000+ mile journey we booked this place to give us 2 nights reprieve after 3 days on the road. The property & house is wonderful. The property manager is professional & gracious. The owners are VERY disturbing. They watch your every move & record your every word via video surveillance from ALL angles outside the property & can hear, but not see inside the house from wherever it is they reside. You're their TV and they watch you. Back story; We stayed at many places in the interim to getting here with no issues. I knew this property didn't allow inside animals, didn't think outside ones would be an issue. Unfortunately, between our 2 moving families, a medium dog was in and out of the house for less than the 45 minutes as they were moving luggage inside with the kids before I got there. Me, as the booking person was less than 45 minutes behind as we stopped to go grocery shopping. I got a message immediately asking about the dog. I called the property manager back immediately to discuss & assured her that she was an outside dog & I would even pay a pet fee even though she would sleep outside in her crate & that my husband & I would be there shortly to rectify everything-nothing to hide. After my husband and I got there- we got another text that they enforced a max occupancy of 6 adults & was concerned about how they prepped the house for only 6 people. We had 4 young children(under age 10) and 4 adults & I told her that we were fine. All fine & dandy & we set about our next days moving tasks. We immediately put the animals on their forever home the next morning. We got back to the residence late that afternoon to get a couple texts, audio, & videos of us , & a whole slew of accusatory things plus over $300 in additional fees because the wifi went out and the owners were furious they couldn't actively watch what we were actively doing. We paid the additional human fees & assured there was no pet issues. We left that place in top notch condition. We washed every linen, swept & mopped, & even dusted the cobwebs that were there before us to make sure they couldn't say we damaged their property. So- it is a beautiful place, but if you value any resemblance of privacy inside or out of the home, I wouldn't book here. They LISTEN & WATCH your every move. This is NOT normal & nothing I've ever encountered in my near hundred+ stays with rental properties like this. Prayers to the managers.
We rented this property not only for a place to stay but a place for our family to spend time together and it delivered! We loved sitting on the back porch, watching wildlife, and enjoying the river. The home is set back from the road enough that you can experience the serenity of the river without the road noise. Definitely recommend!
