This property is located at the top of a quiet neighborhood with a large open area behind the house that has its own opening to the Allegheny Passage. My husband felt like he was stepping back in time to his childhood home and when people say “clean” they are not exaggerating! Everything you need is in the house and our grandkids ( ages 2&3) had plenty of room and loved the trail! Going right on the trail takes you immediately thru a tunnel to the Meyersdale museum. Bringing our dog made it even better! There is more to Meyersdale than one would think! We encourage a visit to the Milroy Maple farm and Tall Pines Distillery about 10 minutes away.
This property is really just off the trail. The owner is so nice and accommodating. Loved the bedrooms. Also liked that there were flyers for delivery since we were on bikes and had to come up a large hill to get to the property. Would love to stay here again if ever doing the Gap Trail again.
We were blessed to stay 5 nights in this absolutely adorable farm house when our cabin in Shenandoah was unavailable due to repairs. I was able to book this house with short notice and it did not disappoint. Even though the weather was less than perfect (rain most days, 45 mph wind gust on Halloween and wind chills that reached below freezing) we still packed in alot in the few days we were there. We rode the train on the Western MD Scenic Railroad from Cumberland to Frostburg at the peak of the fall colors. Took a 3 mile round trip hike to walk across the Salisbury Viaduct from the backyard, Climbed the 50 ft tower at Mt Davis (highest point in PA), visited Rocky Gap state park for a 5.3 mile hike around the lake, and took at 21 mile bike ride through the Big Savage Tunnel and back! My two working K9s had a blast on vacation as well! Just to note, the HUGE backyard is not fenced in. It's not a problem for police/hunting/farm/recal trained dogs but even I've had ding ding dogs in the past that would run off into the woods after a deer lol. So my only recommendation is keep a tracker on your dog. The hostess is fantastic as well and answered any questions I had.
Everything from start to finish was easy. The house was clean and roomy. Beds were comfortable. Bikes can be stored on the back porch. The trail is right behind the house. Easy access.
For an old farmhouse this house was absolutely spotless inside. Easy walk into town and extremely easy access to the amazing trail. Looking forward to another trip or two this year if we can gather up the time.
The property was very near the GAP trail but we didn't realize how close until after we checked out and headed west. The condition of the old house was very good and we felt comfortable during our short overnight stay. We all agreed it was a good choice and would return to use it again, but probably not for an extended stay.
We loved our stay in Meyersdale! The location is beautiful and peaceful. The town is charming and the people are friendly. We enjoyed the family owned restaurants and nearby hiking. Flight 93 memorial is only 30 minutes away. Karen the host is great to work with. We appreciated the snacks and water she left us. Everything was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again.
The house was perfect for our family of 6 to stay for one night. There was plenty of room for all of us in the den and kitchen areas. There were plenty of bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The host left treats and breakfast items, including local syrup. Very nice town and great places to eat - the White House and Donges Drive-In. We would definitely recommend staying at this house if visiting the area.
I had an excellent stay at this rental property with my family. The place was warm, conveniently located, and had easy access to biking trails right from the backyard. It offered plenty of room, even a spot to store our bikes in the kitchen. The property manager was attentive and knowledgeable. I highly recommend it to anyone!

Beautiful spot
The quiet and quaintness of this property is like turning back time to life on a farm. We loved the feel of it! The full bath is upstairs and the steps were challenging for my husband who has bad knees. Thankful for the half bath downstairs!

Very quaint, nostalgic! Decor of home matched ambiance perfectly. It was like stepping back in time, when I used to visit my great grandparents, only this home has modern conveniences my grandparents didn't! We had all the things we needed and a couple of things we didn't even think about. We loved the peace and quiet. It was exactly what we needed. We would definitely stay here again!
Everything about the property and the experience were perfect for our trip. All of the little amenities, large and small, were provided. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Everything was clean and in good working order. Host was very communicative and helpful. They even provided some extra towels / rags due to our slogging through rain all day. 5 stars plus. Amazing value.
I will say that we had a little trouble finding it from the trail due to a lack of street signs in Meyersdale, but that was not the fault of the host.
A beautiful place large kitchen fully stocked if you need plates, cups, silverware. Microwave, full size fridge and stove. Roomy living room with tv (cable/dish) I don't know which. But a lot of channels to choose from very clear reception. 4 large bedrooms to chose from. We used the 1st floor as my daughter has disabilities. Small bathroom down stairs. Large bath upstairs with shower. She even had shower supplies and towels you could use. The home was very clean. And the home owner went above and beyond to help me in correct an error I did and my special situation I had because of some 911 training I needed to do. I would definately use this site and highly recommend this property. Tammy/Dana
