Great location! Centrally located and only steps away from the beach! Get ready to experience a perfect getaway! In a just a short 4-minute walk, you can take your shoes off and dip your toes into the turquoise blue water and soft white sand at Bibijagua Beach, one of the most famous beaches in the Caribbean. This fully equipped 2 BDR/2BA condo has a very spacious open floor plan with a living and dining area which opens to a large private balcony overlooking the pool and beautiful courtyard. Calmness and relaxation await you!

The space

This spacious apartment sleeps 6 comfortably and is located in a quiet, gated community at Playa Bibijagua. In just a short 4-minute walk, you can enjoy beach front restaurants with bars, shopping and 2 famous beach clubs. A short drive or Uber to major shopping plazas, supermarkets, night-life and other nearby attractions.

The property has a pool, jacuzzi, covered gazebo and is beautifully landscaped. Located on the 3rd floor, you can sit out day or night on a very spacious fully-furnished balcony and enjoy the tropical breeze. This condo has 2 large bedrooms with smart TVs, closets and drawers (master bedroom has a king bed and in-suite bathroom), (2nd bedroom has 2 full size beds), living room, dining area, fully-equipped kitchen and laundry room with washer and dryer. Air conditioning and Bedrooms are equipped with central air-condition and ceiling fans are in the living room and both bedrooms.

There is 24-hour private security on-site and free private parking.

Guest access

The apartment is for your exclusive and private use. You will have access to the pool and gym located on the property. The main door to the apartment is accessible via a smart lock and you will be provided your individual key code prior to arrival along with other details.

Guests will have access to everything in the apartment including, towels, sheets and beach towels.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Upon arrival, guests will receive $15.00 courtesy for electricity which is sufficient for 2-3 days, depending on the amount of consumption. It is strongly suggested that for those renting for more long-term stays to pay as they go for electricity (1 week at a time). Unused electricity is not reimbursed.

The property has a locked closet in the master bedroom to store the property owner's personal belongings.

Yolanda, the host, was most welcoming and promptly dealt with any issues that arose. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. All appliances worked well. We enjoyed the spacious, breezy and well-appointed balcony the most. The occasional noise and loud music from the workshop on the adjacent property was a bit annoying. Perhaps that’s a municipal business/residential zoning issue that needs to be addressed.

Where do I start ! Everything was perfect from the moment I landed, I was picked up on time I didn’t even have to wait for the driver they provided , my rental car was in the parking lot within minutes of arriving , communication was awesome , very fast response times, the host Olga and Melvin were dope I Honestly would return and book with them , everything was close by. The beach was walking distance , pool was cleaned daily , it is gated with 24 security so I felt very safe at all times but i recommend this property 150% …

The property was well situated near a beautiful beach. 3-5 minute walk! The unit was spacious and met all of our needs. Colorfully decorated. The owner of the property has done a terrific job with the atmosphere. She was also terrific about answering questions in advance very quickly. So lots of positives. As we were looking to relax and make this a quiet home away from home experience, we wanted to enjoy the lovely patio, have our meals there and get away from the cold and snow. We appreciated having a fruit basket waiting for us and lots of bottled water. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Some improvements - only 2 burners on the stove worked, an electrical outlet in one of the bathrooms did not work. It would have been helpful to have more instructions available in English such as replenishing the electric (how to read the meter as it looked very different than what we have at home), garbage disposal and recommendations for places to go/ eat out. The onsite contact spoke only Spanish and even though we used a translator app we did not feel we got the greatest of service here. When we did need help she did not show up for our scheduled meet time, when we needed to add on to the electric meter we were simply told to go the Farmacia, we were not sure of a few checkout procedures and she did not arrive when we had to leave for the airport. There was also very loud music until 4am at a local bar. Not much sleep a couple of nights.

Our stay at Retiro Bavaro 1 January 13 to March17 2023

The apt. Was as advertised and clean although both bathrooms could use an update and a new mattress for the king size bed as it was lumpy and squeaked. Also there was a problem with the blind in the main bedroom which never got fixed while we were there. The pool area and grounds were well kept but there was a continuous problem with a shortage of lounge chairs at the pool. There are only 2 for the whole complex to use. The problems that destroyed our vacation were due to the complex and continuous renovations of the unit above us which included removal and replacement of the tile floor and retrofit of the bathrooms which caused water leaks in our bathrooms on 3 occasions. The upstairs renovations were still going on when we left. During these renovations the apartment below us also started renovations to extend their balcony. As well the resort behind took 2 weeks to cut and weld steel tubing to make gates for the area behind our apartment. Needless to say the noise was excessive and made staying in the apartment almost impossible for nearly 2 months. The noise was enough to cause other guests to abandon thei rentals and leave. We made many complaints to no avail as it just didn't stop.
