Step into Countess House, a stunning multi-level home and outdoor retreat, outfitted with everything you need to host your group in style. Whether you're gathering with family, friends, or business partners, this is the perfect place to create lasting memories. Located just 15-20 minutes from all major attractions in the San Antonio area, Countess House offers the best of both relaxation and entertainment.

The spacious backyard retreat includes a Saltwater Pool (heated in the winter for an additional fee), Hot Tub, Pickleball Court, Basketball Court, Oversized Chess Board, Swinging Station, and a large patio area. The covered porch features an Air Hockey Table, dining area with a propane grill, and a TV for your enjoyment. It’s like staying at a resort, but you get to choose who you share it with!

Countess House is a luxurious 4-bedroom home with resort-style amenities and plenty of space for everyone. The home includes a bonus private 2nd living room, which doubles as a 5th additional sleeping area with 2 Queen Murphy Beds. Three of the bedrooms feature King Beds, while the smaller bedroom and 2nd living room are equipped with Queen-sized beds. The main level boasts an open-concept living room, dining area, breakfast nook, and fully stocked kitchen — ideal for gathering with loved ones. With multiple levels, this home provides ample space for both togetherness and solitude, allowing you to connect and unwind in equal measure. Please note, the home requires the use of stairs to access all living spaces and rooms.

Step outside and continue the gathering experience. The large porch, complete with an Air Hockey Table and dining area by the grill, provides the perfect setting for meals or casual conversations. Further out, enjoy the expansive patio or relax at the outdoor bar, and soak in the beauty of the pool area. The heated saltwater pool (with an additional daily fee for heating) features an industrial-style slide, a soaking/hot tub (included at no extra charge), poolside basketball hoop, and lounge areas perfect for relaxing and socializing.

There are plenty of spaces to dine or lounge around the pool, with additional recreational amenities such as the pickleball court, basketball court, large chessboard, and a grassy yard for games. Don’t forget to unwind in the peaceful Swinging Station — a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere.

great family vacation home

This house in San Antonio was one of the finest short-term rentals I've experienced. The home is beautiful and spacious. It was well stocked with everything we needed for our large family in the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and outdoor recreation. While in the city, the property felt quite private. I tried to plan outings for my family since San Antonio has a lot of fun things to do; but they all said they'd rather hang out at the house. Well done, Countess House.

Awesome place, great service.

They really do it right at this property. We had a large group and accommodations were excellent. Kitchen is stocked with everything you could need and they even had some snacks for us upon arrival. Beds were super comfy. Pool and hot tub and all the outdoor activities made for non stop fun. You will love staying here. Highly recommend.

Well hosted, relaxing and “home style” atmosphere.

We were impressed a year ago, and still impressed a year later. Everything we needed was provided for our “escape”. Jami goes beyond what most rentals and properties share; she makes it feel personal and welcoming. Plenty of room, spacious yard, games and very comfortable pool area. A very pleasant stay with no issues.

Great Property

Great property for a family or group! This house has a lot of space and plenty of activities. It is stocked with all of the basic necessities which sets it apart from most properties. Access to most downtown and local attractions is easy. Jami is a great host! Very responsive and checks in to make sure all of your needs are met.

Very fun place to stay!

This was not the cheapest house available, but I assure you, it was worth every single penny! Cannot think of one single negative thing to say. House floor plan was very cool and unique, the provided amenities were useful and of excellent quality - the backyard was just downright impressive! Our bunch had a great time!

Great house!

The house was very nice, the backyard was amazing. The owners left many nice touches including water bottles, wine, pancake mix, coffee, spices, baggies, oil, and they even had an electric hot water kettle and tea! The property does have a lot of stairs which weren’t obvious in the pictures but it worked out fine! Would definitely rebook if in the area!

Fantastic Weekend Getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The home was clean, spacious, and exactly as described in the listing. It had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and relaxing weekend. The location was perfect—close enough to local attractions yet peaceful and quiet, providing the ideal escape. The host was incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The attention to detail throughout the home, from the cozy furnishings to the well-stocked kitchen, really stood out. Wonderful property!! So much to do and great location to downtown & Sea World!

We stayed over President’s day weekend with our 3 kids and our Au Pair & had a fabulous time! The house is a great space with TONS to do for the family! We have a 9 month old as well and the house was equipped with everything you can possibly need for a baby! They had a high chair, two pack-n-plays with clean bedding as well. They have board games, books, puzzles and tons of amenities! The owners were lovely and checked in with us multiple times to ensure we had everything we needed and were quick to answer any questions we had. Can’t recommend this property enough! The outdoor space is AMAZING! We enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub in February & it was still great! The kids loved playing air hockey, outdoor chess, basketball & pickle ball. It’s truly a wonderful place & so close to Sea World & downtown. We can’t recommend it enough abd will definitely stay here again!

Private resort like home.

This is a well maintained home with everything you could need. It’s large enough to spread out yet not too big that you can’t move through easily. The hosts were phenomenal and were responsive with anything we needed. The house is well organized and thoroughly stocked with sunscreen to spices to pots and pans, and an ice maker and more. The decor is a traditional theme with a modern beach inspired eclectic charm. The pool and spa were absolutist perfect with a swim up bar that was fun and functional. There were a few minor items that need to be repaired but what you might expect with a rental. Overall, it was the perfect family style home with everything you could need. The location was convenient. The only item we did not like was the constant traffic noise from the road alongside the property, other than that the neighbors were all very quiet and friendly. I would highly recommend

We booked this house for three days for our daughter's graduation at the Air Force base! Of all the vacation homes I've booked, this one impressed me the most! It felt like a scene from a movie! An antique style with a modern touch, everything perfectly clean, fragrant bedding, towels—everything was spotless! Oh, and the backyard, they decorated every inch! Mrs. Jami is super attentive, allowed us to check in early and responds quickly to any incidents that arise! A house we leave wanting to return to!

We had a wonderful family reunion at Jami’s home. She was very communicative and easy to reach, which made everything smooth. The house itself was amazing—plenty of space and everything we needed. The backyard was truly an oasis with so much to do for all ages: basketball, pickleball, swimming, the big slide with a swim-up bar, the hammock, and more. It was the perfect spot for everyone to enjoy together. Highly recommend!

Gem of San Antonio

From the beginning of the booking to the very end ...everything was easy and well communicated by Jamie,a top notch host. Loved the labeling so we didnt have to pilfer through to know where things were. Loved the safety measures with the stairs. Such a gracious welcome basket waiting for us when we arrived. The house itself is a lovely with character pieces throughout. We marveled over the design and the vintage pieces that made it that much more special. was not one thing that we needed to bring that the property didn't have already except for us and our clothes.. ideal location as we got to the riverwalk, the alamo and seaworld within 15mim or so. Lots of reataurants near(recommend maria bonnita and Haywire)and grocery stores. Plenty of parking for our 4 large vehicles. The backyard is an oasis for all ages. We did spend majority of time enjoying the pool. The slide was incredibly fun. And the large dining table was perfect for our family card games. Lots of fun was had!!!! A stay to remember! Wonderful Vacation

The Perfect Family Retreat for Military Graduation Week

We stayed at Countess House for four nights in early May during my brother’s basic training graduation. It was the perfect home base for our crew. With my husband, our three kids, and my brother-in-law all under one roof, we had more than enough space to relax, play, and celebrate — without stepping on each other’s toes (literally or emotionally). The house feels like a private resort -- an oasis tucked in the middle of a busy, noisy city. Our kids swam every day and night — the pool lights are great — and were completely enchanted by the multiple levels inside. It felt like a miniature fairytale castle to them, minus the dragons (unless you count the occasional sibling disagreement between my husband and his brother). We enjoyed playing pickleball and basketball, and our son liked the life-size chess board. He played whenever he could get an opponent and even beat a few of us — not that we're still thinking about it. The kitchen was well equip and the fresh ground coffee provided sealed the deal on my 5-star review. We also loved some of the home’s quieter luxuries; Some of us are musical, so we took time to play the upright piano. I appreciated that each bedroom had a noise maker — a thoughtful touch that helped everyone get quality sleep. The wet bar tucked inside the office/bedrooms was fun plus there’s a cool map on the ceiling of that room. There’s plenty of room to spread out inside or out, but the picnic style table and grill under the porch was our go to hangout. We were also grateful to find mosquito repellent on hand for the evenings — because Texas mosquitoes don’t mess around. What really made this stay special was Jami, the host. She was kind, communicative, and refreshingly not overbearing — the perfect balance of helpful without hovering. You could tell she genuinely cares about the guest experience. If you *think* you are missing something for your stay, just reach out and ask her. She probably has it covered. A major bonus: Countess House is within the approved radius for **Lackland AFB’s town pass**, which meant we had a place to retreat with our Airman. As an Air Force spouse and Texas native who’s attended multiple BMT graduations (and visited all the usual San Antonio spots), I can confidently say this property is a far better hangout than the crowded Riverwalk (where many families tend to take their graduate). This home gave us the space to relax, connect, and enjoy quality time. We recommend staying **at least two nights (honestly, the longer the better)**. It took us a good 48 hours to truly decompress — and once we did, we weren’t in a hurry to leave. Our five-year-old actually cried when it was time to pack up. (We sort of did too.) If you're coming for graduation or just looking for a peaceful place to unwind and reconnect, this house delivers. And if you somehow manage to not enjoy it… well, you might just be the problem. Just scroll past any complainers and enjoy your stay — we sure did. We hope to come back.

Awesome stay in San Antonio

This property is set up for family vacations! Everything was great, all the amenities we needed were there for us. The pool, pickleball, and basketball were definitely the highlights for us. The host was extremely attentive and genuinely concerned that our stay was perfect. I highly recommend.

Wonderful house and host

This house is truly wonderful—it features a stunning pool, a spacious yard, and ample room for everyone to feel comfortable and at home.
