About this property

"Knot A Care Cabin" Rustic Retreat!

Perfect for those who want a *Rustic Mountain Cabin* experience! This secluded one of a kind cabin is a perfect getaway for 2 people. Refurbished with tons of handcrafted wood details, slate floors & an adorable woodsy decor. A king size bed in the loft is accessible via a sturdy loft ladder. A large walk-in shower, romantic swing for two & a cozy hot tub are all here for your enjoyment! After a day of hiking or other mountain activity, relax at the Knot a Care Cabin!

*Mount Rainier National Park visitors will need reservations in summer 2024*
Visit Recreation.gov -or- call 877-444-6777 for information.

The space
For the health and safety of all my guests, the Knot A Care Cabin will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized prior to each guests arrival.

For safety and security there are 3 security cameras. Located on the porches, & on the shed, (directed towards at driveway)

A Very private two-person hot tub, (beach towels provided), custom fire pit, gas BBQ, and a *fun and unique* two-person swing!

The full size kitchen is well stocked with cooking essentials, a gas stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, Keurig, toaster, mini waffle maker and water dispenser. Also, oil & vinegar, a few spices, coffee pods, tea, cream, & sugar.

Wireless speaker, charging station, Smart T.V, & the highest speed internet available.

The cabin is on a community well that is tested for safety. It is mountain water, high in iron, therefore drinking/cooking water is provided.

Cabin is on a septic system.
Please flush toilet paper and human waste only. No garbage disposal-please discard food waste in trash to not clog drains.

Cell service is spotty. Verizon and T-Mobile has the best coverage in the area & usually works well.

There are 2 convenience type stores in Ashford, as well as a gas station. For major groceries I would recommend stopping at a larger store prior to arriving to Ashford.

Depending on the season there are several restaurants and a couple of bars nearby.

Firewood and ice are typically available, but not guaranteed.

The cabin is accessible year round despite the map showing the road is closed in winter. The cabin is located approximately 5 miles prior to the closure point.

If you find the mattress is too soft for your liking, you may flip the mattress over. Please do not remove the foam topper from the mattress casing as it is difficult for the cleaners to replace. Thank you

Perfect access to Mt. Rainier National Park
This cabin was perfect for our 4 day visit to Mt. Rainier National Park. The host is easy to communicate with and the cabin has everything you might need. If you are into bear decor you will be in heaven. It was also great having a washer and dryer so we could pack lightly. Thanks for the snacks!

Outstanding !
Brenda thinks of every detail for guest comfort— like nothing we have seen before in a rental residence. Craftsmanship in the home is also amazing. Highly recommend!

What an amazing property and with OUTSTANDING amenities
Okay, I've booked a lot of VRBOs in the past but I must say this one was probably the cleanest and most put together I have ever seen. The interior was in impeccable shape and it was stocked with everything you could possibly need in a home. The jacuzzi out back mixed with the swing out front was an amazing touch and kept us occupied while out in the middle of nowhere! With all of this being said, you are definitely in a remote area in a town with only a few hundred people. We lost power twice during our stay, and without WiFi, you cannot call or text anyone in case of emergency (no cell signal). My ONLY recommendation would be to invest in a small generator! Other than that, we were 100% satisfied and really enjoyed our stay. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Mount Rainier.

Knot a Care Cabin
The cabin was just as described and pictured. Perfect location for easy access to Mount Rainier Nisqually Entrance. We used the gas grill and soaking tub. The bathroom is custom and a treat in itself. A young male deer greeted us when we arrived and showed himself on a few occasions which was fun. There are no grocery stores, just convenience stores, nearby. Recommend planning ahead for groceries. We visited when it was unusually hot, the loft bed area was a bit warm. There are several fans in the cabin. Overall, the Knot a Care Cabin and the surrounding grounds were lovely.

What makes this property unique

Private & secluded, except for the local deer that regularly hang out on the property.
