Adorable cabin in ideal location for exploring Mt Rainier National Park. Wish we'd been able to stay longer to take advantage of all the cute details like lots of great movies on VHS and board games.
Our family had a fantastic time! The house was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Its location made it easy to access Mt. Rainier and enjoy some beautiful hikes. After our adventures, we loved unwinding back at the house with games, movies, and evenings by the fire pit roasting s’mores.Everyone had a wonderful experience, and we would absolutely book again for our next quiet, relaxing mountain getaway
This cabin is so cute and cozy. My hubby and I were celebrating our Anniversary and it was perfect, very relaxing and peaceful. We played yard games had a fire and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Ashley was very efficient and kind in responding to any questions or giving recommendations for us. Would definitely stay here again.
Cabin had everything we needed for our two day stay and was clean and well appointed. Location was convenient to the national park. Owners provided many games/books/videos for entertainment and thoughtful suggestions for things to do in the area.
We had a great time staying at the cabin as family of 4. Can’t ask for a better setup. So much detail on every little thing inside and outside of the cabin. We will def plan another trip here down the road.
We enjoyed getting away for a few days! The cabin is cozy. My kids love places with lofts. Be aware, the firewood provided is apparently a “starter” pack and if you like to have it going throughout your stay you’ll have to pay for more. They do make it convenient to buy wood from the shed on site though. I recommend this place for a nice winter get away!
Loved our stay at this cabin. It’s small, but has everything you could need. We had the best time watching a VHS from the huge collection and enjoying a fire from the wood stove. Loved our quick stay!
What a great place. the perfect escape. conveniently located to all that the Ashford area has to offer. Ashley was great to deal with and communicated promptly and frequently. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Wonderful cabin close to the Paradise entrance to Mount Rainier. Perfect spot for our family of four. The kids loved the loft space. Super cute decor and amenities. We enjoyed movies on the VCR and a wide variety of board games. Fire pit and outdoor games were a hit. Highly recommend!
Cute little cabin nestled in the woods. Enjoyed going into the park each day. Last day a family with children moved into the companion cabin. Was fun to see them explore the area. Great place for kids!

It is a fully equipped cabin in wilderness, clean and comfortable. We had a unique and pleasant experience. We were welcome with a bottle of wine, tea and coffee. We also enjoy the tap water there, filtered Mt. Rainier well water. Ashley is very responsible to any questions we have, before and during our stay.
It was an amazing place to stay! They had everything we needed. And as we were not very familiar with the area, the owners were very helpful with the driving instructions and advise on the road and weather information for safety. We will definitely be back! Thank you Ashley 👍
Great set up. It's small, but everything you need is creatively stored in this cabin. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with things we needed, and the setting is picturesque. We spent our days exploring Mt Rainier and enjoyed our evenings in the cabin!
This was our best Vrbo stay to date. Direct communication with the host was really helpful before and through our three day stay. There was everything we could possibly need in and outside the cabin. Location was perfect for getting in and out of Mt. Rainier National Park. Also, anyone 40-55 should get their thumbs warmed up for the video game emulator:)
This little cabin is amazing! It was just what the doctor ordered for a week away from the rat race. We didn't use the loft area, but if I was ten years old it would have been amazing to sleep up there! Everything was exactly what I was hoping for, and my wife and I are most definitely coming back. I'm so glad we picked this one!!

The owners of this darling cabin in the woods have thought of everything. The furnishings are cozy and a fun step back in time. The cabin is well appointed with necessities and extras (soap/shampoo, first aid items, coffee, condiments, etc) and has indoor and outdoor entertainment for all ages. There aren’t many dining or grocery options near, so come prepared - the kitchen is well appointed to do any amount of cooking onsite.
We loved our stay and the hosts are great. Our messages before check in and during our stay were replied to promptly and our questions answered thoroughly. The cabin had everything we needed plus videos and dozens of games for children. Ashford, being such a small community, has limited grocery and dining choices but they're 5 minutes from the cabin. There are several other dining options within a 20 minute drive. It's a perfect location for excursions into the Longmire and Paradise areas of Mt Rainier NP.
My daughter and I stayed here with my 5 & 7 year old grandchildren. Even though the place is quite small we didn’t feel cramped.
The inside had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Extra blankets and plenty of pillows. Bathroom towels, etc. The kitchen had all you needed on pots, pans, small appliances, etc.
The place has tons of games for inside and outside! We also watched a few old VHS movies.
It’s conveniently situated close to Ashford town center and Park but yet it is a very private property.
We loved our stay at this cozy cabin.
Thank you Ashley!

About the host
Hosted by Ashley Sprecher
Our small family began The Happy Hotelier because we love staying at unique vacation properties for ourselves. Personally having been in property management for the past 10+ years, it just made sense for us to make the transition to becoming hosts ourselves.
Why they chose this property
We love this property which hosts two cabins, each sleeping 4, because it offers a chance to stay in one or both cabins. They are situated in a way that both cabins feel very private, but are close enough to enjoy the meadow, creek, and local activities together.
What makes this property unique
Having both cabins and the meadow there, we allow events on site. Our properties are two of five cabins in our small neighborhood which is surrounded by 1000+ acres of State Forest for your exploration. There is a great sense of seclusion and peace when you visit here. The trickling of the seasonal creek and the sound of the rain on the metal roof is comforting even when the weather is blustery.
