This characterful house dates back to the 19th century and was originally a wash house and bakery before it was used as a holiday home. It is beautifully situated by the fjord and offers you everything you need for a carefree holiday. Rustic furnishings, a wood-burning stove and historical details create an atmosphere in which you will quickly feel at home. Spend cosy afternoons reading on the sofa or sit back and relax with a cup of coffee.



Start the day outside and enjoy the fantastic view of the fjord with its steep cliffs. Have breakfast outside in warm weather and listen to the sounds of nature. End the evening with a relaxed chat and toast to your wonderful holiday experiences.



Explore the impressive landscape of the Hardangerfjord, visit the charming village of Ulvik with its shops and restaurants or discover the photo museum The Photographer by the Fjord with historical photographs and film screenings. Take excursions to Hardangervidda National Park and the spectacular Vøringsfossen waterfall, go to the Jondal summer ski centre in summer or experience the Folgefonna glacier. The fishing opportunities in the fjord are within walking distance, ideal if you want to test your fishing luck on holiday.

traumhafte Lage

Wer es urig mag ist hier genau richtig ! Ein wirklich altes Haus , aber mit allem was man benötigt eingerichtet. Der Ausblick allein ist gigantisch! Wir haben uns in der "Gamlestova" richtig wohl gefühlt. Ein Dank an den Gastgeber Paul...er hilft immer wo es nötig ist.
