Gem in Boston
You can’t judge a book by its cover and that’s what we found with this gem. The renovation, style, comfort were top. Clean, with owners who had great advice and were prepared for our questions. Would stay here again.

Family stay for a college reunion
We were visiting with family to attend a reunion at Boston College, and this house was perfect in terms of size and location. We really appreciated the detailed information from owner as well. We had dinner both nights at the house, and it was very comfortable for a group of 8!

About the host

Host profile image
I graduated college in 2017 with a chemistry degree. During college, I picked up a part time job as a houseman in my school’s hotel, less so for the money. More so to look busy. It was initially meant to be a past time, but one particular night left a mark I never forgot.

The job required me to assist the housekeepers. I was the grease to a well-maintained machine. Take off the bed sheets, remove the used soaps and towels, and empty the trash. You do that to every room. Simple right?

It was the last night for an opposing school’s football team and my manager needed someone to clean up after them and then prepare the rooms for the next working day.

I showed up and cleared every room assigned to me. I thought nothing of it and went back to my dorm. The next day, I went back to work on my regular shift.

To my surprise, everyone came up to me to thank me for making their day a hundred times easier. I was happy for a moment. But then I scratched my head thinking to myself, “you all know that I’m getting paid for this right?”

But then it dawned on me. I was looking at this experience through broken glasses.

Hospitality is as much a human experience for the guests as it is for the people who make that experience worthwhile.

That day has inspired to me to strive to make every experience worthwhile. My goal is to facilitate wonderful experiences for people around the world. Hopefully, hosting on Airbnb & VRBO will be the catalyst for my guests to make fun, happy, and joyful memories.

Why they chose this property

Prime location in a beautiful neighborhood. There's a lot of history here for people who want to visit Boston and surrounding area and want a nice, beautiful, comfortable place.
