Rivercrest Oasis on Lake Austin Street with Private Dock, Pool & Hot Tub

Enjoy an escape just off Lake Austin with family and friends. Relax all day in the backyard oasis pool to cool off or warm up in the hot tub both built into the base of a lush boulder and tree-covered hillside. Then stroll under the mature pecan grove (less than 5 minutes) to the private 2-story dock to lounge on the large lake floats or soak up the sun on the deck (boat slip not part of rental). Stay entertained with indoor/outdoor surround sound, a media room with an 80" QLED Smart TV, a record player with classic and current hits, and a piano in the library. The large living room is great for getting everyone together, but most people are drawn to the spacious kitchen and attached parlor room with a bar & fireplace. We always have Organic foods in the fridge & natural wines/spirits that you're welcome to and a garden most of the year you can pick fresh produce from. We don't use harsh chemicals in the house or yard. The setting is very natural with native plants and animals, including hummingbirds that come to the feeders outside kitchen window daily. Other dates can be made available, inquire if your trip doesn't quite fit in our currently-available dates!

Booked for a small Bach party. The pool is the big draw. It’s like hanging out in a spring in the middle of the forest. I’d book again in a heartbeat.

Lovely Family Home

We loved the opportunity to share the house with 4 generations. Grandchildren loved the pool and theatre room. Adults loved the backyard shade, location to the lake and optional sleeping arrangements. Thank you for opening your lovely home.

Lovely neighborhood in Westlake, close to Austin

We enjoyed staying at this home in Westlake, Texas. It was nice to be able to ride the bikes down to the dock and lay out in the sun by the beautiful lake. Although it was too cold for the pool, the teens enjoyed the hot tub! The owners were very quick to respond to any questions we had.

Mason and family were very welcoming to the house and the property was a quaint house in a quiet and scenic neighborhood. They welcomed us to use items from the pantry etc (we didn't but nice to know we have an option). They were responsive to our questions and made us feel at home. Thanks!

Birthday weekend on Rivercrest

Lovely property and hosts were very thoughtful and welcoming. Our favorite area was the backyard pool and deck area. Beautiful trees and lush greenery around the pool. Even in the heat, it was shady and relaxing. Only slight negatives would be the condition of the dock down the road ( If you only needed it for a boat, it would be fine) and the fact that the owners live in the home and there wasn’t much room for fridge and freezer space. We left some stuff in ice chests and bought more ice, so it worked. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend of lake and pool activities and we really appreciate the thoughtful, welcoming attitude of the owners!! Our daughter had a great birthday!!

BRB!

We come to Austin often as we have a family member who lives down the lake a ways. We love ski shores so the location was perfect! We walked the dogs each morning through the beautiful neighborhood. We live between Puerto Rico and horse property in Scottsdale and let me tell you, this home and neighborhood are HARD TO BEAT! Had us looking on Zillow. Above and beyond our expectations. Hidden gem. Felt like we were hanging out with our family in our own home. Loved finding out the owners family was gluten free like us, we hope you tried the peach cobbler we made from local peaches where we found stands all around. Whole Foods just a few miles in ANY direction. Plenty of cooking equipment all though next time I will bring my cast iron! Pool was amazing. Down pillow up stairs which I loved. Dog friendly, ours are VERY well traveled. House was perfect lay out. Movie room was a bonus, felt like home. Perfect hosts. Couldn’t have been better. Be right back!

Why they chose this property

Whenever we travel we'd rather our awesome place be shared with people than sit around. We have 2 kiddos half-time and this is our home so our stuff will be around the house. We find the backyard oasis rather magical and the lake so fun. Often we also just hangout on our front lawn and say hi to neighbors. Everywhere in the house is a great place to relax.

What makes this property unique

Built as a French Countryside home with a New Orleans twist, this place is truly unique - being both cosy and spacious. The pool & hot tub are built into the side of a cliff that has some jungle vibes. It's one of the coolest watering holes in the city. Having a dock down the street with private lake access is quite a perk, too.

We also have trusted friends who can provide entertainment services to individuals or groups from cabana boys/girls to tarot card readings! Let us know what you're looking for.
