Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this lovely home on the Eastern Shore! The gorgeous grounds featuring spectacular water views and abundant wildlife was a highlight of our stay. Comfortable updated decor and the high-end kitchen made our visit one to remember- everything you’ll need is at your fingertips! The added bonus of kayaking & fishing completed our fun family outings! The owner was very easy to communicate with and always a pleasure to work with…we highly recommend this property & hope to visit again in the future!

Beth, thanks for staying and I'm so happy you and your family enjoyed this property. It's very special for sure! Thank you for being a wonderful guest! Hope to see you again!
Beautiful property right on the water with great privacy and nice dock. Front yard is magnificent with circular driveway and acres of flat, green very well kept lawns with nice trees. Inside, the house is very open and really easy to move about with a lovely screened in back porch facing the water. All sunny and bright with highly workable TV's up and down. Three great upstair's bedrooms with a huge, bright, highly comfortable bathroom with two sinks, tub and great shower. In total, a very comfortable and clean house in excellent location with easy access to all one would need. That includes a truly top notch hospital (Riverside Hospital) ten minutes away where my wife had
to go after breaking her foot before arriving in Onancock!

Pat I'm happy you and Charlotte enjoyed your stay. I'm hoping next visit she'll be a little more mobile! Looking forward to hosting you and your family in the future. It's guests like you that make it enjoyable sharing our home and we're excited when others love it as much as we do! Thanks again and hope to see you again!
My family and I (2 adults, 4 kids between the ages of 9-17) stayed at this property for our annual family vacation. We found it at the last minute at a great price, and had never been to the Chesapeake before, so we were a little trepidatious about it...we shouldn't have worried, as it was a wonderful location!
The check-in process was seamless, and we were welcomed in to the host's spacious home by a finger of the Chesapeake with a handwritten note and a complimentary bottle of wine (much appreciated after a nearly 4 hour drive!). Our accommodation was wonderful--absolutely clean place, great house layout and design, and the free use of amenities such as a kayak, bikes, and (especially for my kids) several "crab traps" that we used right from the dock on the property! Mornings were peaceful, spent watching the ospreys dive and fish, and jellyfish bobbing in the bay. We took several day trips, to Chincoteague Island (great beaches and we saw wild ponies), and to Onancock, a sleepy little town with lots of history and a couple of wonderful restaurants, particularly Maurice and Mallard's by the Bay.
I'd say the only drawbacks to the trip were things that are outside of the host's control. The mosquitos were terrible, likely owing to late June rains and heat. We tried out the local beach, which was lovely but small. And, our stay at the house was all-too-short--we wished we could have stayed much longer. Thank you so much for a wonderful trip!

Bill , it's guests like your family that make renting a pleasure! We're glad you got out and investigated the area and enjoyed the house. Truly a magical, restorative location. It's too bad about the mosquitos, but I'm not surprised since the June rains were frequent and torrential. Perhaps you can try the fall which is a lovely season down on the ESVA. Hope to host you and your family again some time in the future!
Peaceful, quiet location and a great place to enjoy it.
Location, location, location...
The house was fantastic and in a very quiet and private location. We spent a lot of time just watching the eagles, ospreys and many species of shore birds from the porch and dock.
Everything you would need to enjoy it all is right there.
This place is a nature lovers dream!
Valerie was very attentive and communicated back quickly on any questions.

About the host
Hosted by Valerie Williams
We are new to this home but not to the Eastern Shore. We've been in Harborton since 2004. Some of you may have stayed with us at "Harborview" our previous VRBO rental, where we enjoyed being a "premier host"! We were ready for a change but committed to staying on the Shore, so this is our latest venture! We've been on the Shore since 2001 with our first property being on the seaside in Metompkin.
Why they chose this property
We wanted something newer, with a little less maintenance than our previous 1895 renovated home. We also appreciate the privacy afforded by this new location. We can commune with nature, visit neighbors in East Point or run into Onancock for a quick errand or the amazing donuts at the Corner Bakery!
What makes this property unique
We really feel one with nature in this home. We watch wildlife both out front in the field and out back on the water. We see geese, deer and an amazing variety of birds. It's really like living on a boat. The water view from the rear is ever changing. You can see Watt Island from inside and on clear days, Tangier Island with it's twinkling string of lights at night! It's truly a magical location! The grounds are very private, but the charming neighborhood of East Point is a quick walk away, so it's the best of both worlds.
