Luxurious Alentejo farmhouse

Casa Velha is a renovated two-bedroom farmhouse, each with a private bathroom, and offers simple but luxurious self-catering accommodation. It is ideal for a family or a group of four friends.

This privately located house is cool in summer and comfortably warm in winter; All rooms have underfloor heating with a fireplace in the living room. Under a traditional ceiling fan, the king-size bed is covered with pure cotton bed linen and offers a touch of luxury and a restful sleep. One of the beds can be divided into two single beds
The bathroom has a rain shower and large, soft towels. A solar gas thermal bath ensures an adequate supply of hot water whenever needed. In order to make the preparation of meals as easy as possible, cooking utensils are provided together with a small herb garden. Every 3-4 days the cleaning service will change bed linen and towels, tidy up and refresh the house.

With clean country air and breathtaking views in all directions, Casa Velha in Sernadinha offers a relaxing country experience and easy access to the beautiful beaches of Portugal's Costa Azul.

Paradise!

We truly loved our stay at Antje and Reiner's place. The house was spotless clean and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed. The garden and the view were absolutely amazing! We surely want to come back! Thank you for everything!

Geheimtipp :-)

Das Haus ist wunderbar mit viel Liebe eingerichtet, alles funktioniert tadellos und man fühlt sich sofort zu Hause. Wir reisen viel und nur alle paar Jahre treffen wir auf einen Ort mit so viel positiver und ruhiger Athosphäre. Wir können es nur empfehlen hier zu buchen, durch die Gegend zu spazieren und zu den nächsten Stränden zu fahren. In der Nebensaison ist es nicht überfüllt, was wir lieben (weniger touristisch als die Argarve). Cercal ist ein netter portugiesicher Ort, freundliche Menschen, sauber, kleiner Supermarkt mit allem, was es zum Leben braucht, Restaurants sind auch da, im Haus zu kochen ist aber genauso schön und gemütlich. Die Küstenwanderwege sind herrlich, wir haben im Oktober noch gebadet, etwas kühl das Meer aber nicht zu kalt, Wellen toll. Antje ist die perfekte Vermieterin, erreichbar und gibt viele Tipps. Uns fällt nichts negatives ein und wir kommen wieder, das sagt eigentlich alles, nicht wahr?!

Beautiful views

A luxury to have heated floors and amazing views. We were unlucky with the weather but the house was warm and welcoming. Every detail is luxurious and many little attentions show that Antje cares about her guests.

Perfect stay

The house is very comfortable, clean and eventhough summer in Alentejo is quite hot, it is fresh. The area is really beautiful and close to the beach (20-25mins drive). We recommend Praia do Malhão for a beautiful beach, clean, with nice sand and not crowded. Antje was a perfect host, really warm and welcomming, and we very much appreciated the "horse experience" we asked for and she prepared for our kids, which they loved and helped them to learn and get familiar with horses, at a reasonable rate. I would love to come back and repeat our stay in Sernadinha, in the summer or in any other season.
