Great Guys Weekend in Austin

Perfect landing spot for our group of seven this past weekend. Walkable to a few local eating/drinking spots and a short ride away from the downtown action in Austin. Had minor internet issues during our stay, but think it was just poor timing and not an issue with the property.

Family Thanksgiving in Austen

10 of us spent a week at Clay's bungalow. It accommodated us comfortably. It's well equipped and has a great patio kitchen. Too bad it was cold and rainy all week.

Just what we needed!

This was such a fun stay located in a great part of town! Our daughter participated in a competition on the UT campus and this was the perfect place for our family to stay. We felt at home and safe during our time in Austin. I highly recommend this cute rental because of the thoughtful hosts, the beautiful decor, and the great location!

Hi! My name is Clay and I am an Austin native. I work in PR but have a passion for painting, art, piano, reading, and design (you'll probably see my paint supplies in the studio, my piano tucked in a bedroom, and my collection of books, that I encourage you to sift through if you stay here). I travel often and rent the place when I am out of town. I bought it in 2020 in the initial shock of COVID and have been nesting in it ever since. Big foodie and love concerts etc. so don't hesitate to ask for any reccs!

Why they chose this property

In the heat of COVID in 2020, I was laid off from my job and put my heart and soul and full time into rebuilding this home from the foundation up. While Austin will always have a spot in my heart, I travel between Austin, NYC, and Mexico City, VRBOing my house when I am away. So, unlike the other Austin generic rental properties, this one has been giving lots of love! I myself am an avid traveler, and I pay close attention to what annoys me when staying in other rental properties; not shampoo (or cheap shampoo), no coffee in the morning, no kitchen basics, and essentials, not high-quality sheets, etc.. With that, this home is ready to go for your friends, family, and everything else!

What makes this property unique

The detached studio gives so much privacy with its own kitchen and bath. The outdoor space has an amazing grill and a full kitchen and hot tub. With the strung lights, it is a vibe outside. The kitchen island makes entertaining so much fun. Enjoy a 70" high def TV with Sonos speakers (and sub) wired throughout the house! Brook Linnen sheets, fresh towels, quality bathroom products, spices, oils, sugar, coffee, etc.
