Wonderful waterfront Home

Come and enjoy the serenity of this Herring Creek waterfront property. Here you can enjoy the secluded private waterfront setting while being only a 5 minute drive to the beach. Bring your pontoon, small boat or jet ski and tie it to the 75’ pier. Herring Creek opens up to the bay via a low bridge so boats with a hard top or towers will have a problem clearing the bridge but smaller boats will be able to enjoy all that the bay has to offer. Have putting contests on the putting green with its sand trap and water hazard or just sit and relax as the sun goes down while eating delicious steamed crabs that you caught using the crab pot available to you. Here you will be conveniently located near to the beach, shopping, and restaurants as well as to Assateague Island State park where you can spend a day at the beach and see the wild ponies.

This property sleeps 19 with a guest house which is just a few steps away from the main house. The main house has 4 bedrooms with 3 full and ½ baths. First floor has 3 entertaining areas, gourmet kitchen complete with stainless appliances, butcher block island with seating and granite countertops. Second floor has a king master with a full bath, another king bedroom that shares a hall bath with a bedroom that has a queen and two twin beds. Third floor is a queen bedroom with a balcony over looking the water, a queen bed, a day bed with trundle and a bath that has a charming vintage style claw tub. The guest house has a loft bedroom, main level bedroom and a full bath with a soaring cathedral ceiling in the main living area.

This property comes equipped with cable TV , Free Internet, a BBQ grill, bed linens, and ample outdoor seating for you to enjoy your vacation.

It’s unfortunate that we have to spell this out but, after a few incidents that necessitated eviction, we feel it only fair to warn you. Wonderful Home

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. It is conveniently located next to many attractions and is on a beautiful canal. our whole family had a great time here and the canoes and kayak were a great plus! Would definitely recommend this place for people travelling to Ocean City.

OCMD golf trip

Great house with beautiful views - perfect spot for girls weekend!

Group of 10 women spent the weekend off season. Three different sitting areas to spend time, big kitchen table for meals and games, and plenty of bathrooms. Very comfortable beds. Extra space in guest house to spread out if needed. Owner was very responsive when we needed to reach out. Would definitely stay here again!!

Anniversary Trip

House & guest house were as advertised and easily accommodated our 16 family members for our week. Plenty of seating for meals & games, kitchen well appointed for a crowd, lovely river view, had fun with putting competitions on the outside green, enjoyed a campfire in the fit pit, close to restaurants & OC downtown.

Another great trip.

A perfect West OC gem!

What a wonderful property which is truly a hidden gem in West Ocean City. We had a group of nine and we used both the main house and guest house. There is so much room and everything was spotless. The beds were so comfy and there wasn’t one single complaint. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need. And the best part was the view of Herring Creek! We saw otters, osprey and many gulls, etc. We are already planning to come back next year.

Great Christmas weekend near the Ocean

This house was perfect for our group of 15 adults and children. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms, nice kitchen, calm views and close to the ocean. Owner was fast to respond to all our communications. Just remember to ask about towel service and bring your own soaps, toilet paper, and trash bags.

Golf Get-a-way

Yearly trip for 8 golfers for many years so we have stayed in a number of different houses. By far, Hooked on Herring is the best so we keep coming back. Everyone has their own bed and the place is close to some quality courses. Decatur Diner is our go to breakfast place. Thank you Carla for renting your home to us!

Perfect for large families

This was exactly what we needed. It was spotless and the kitchen was well stocked. There’s lots to do outside with the bay literally in the back yard. They have 2 Canoes and 1 kayak. Lots of crabs and eels (couldn’t catch any fish though). Lots of crab trap and some life jackets. For others who go there, a few things to keep in mind. There is only 1 roll of tp in each bathroom. If you’re a large group staying for a few days you’ll need to bring extra- as well as paper towels. Bathrooms don’t have any hand soap either. Grocery store (food lion) and the beach are barely 5 minutes away. This place was incredible with lots of space. will definitely come back!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Although we were rained in the house was so comfortable and inviting for just relaxing. Stores and restaurants were nearby making it a wonderful trip. The microwave failed the day before our departure and property manager (Carla) had a brand new one delivered within an hour. Highly recommend this home.
