Another couple my wife and I all stayed at the house.
You found it clean and comfortable and close to the downtown district.
We would use it again if we visit Bangor Maine.
It was an adorable little house. Very clean with lots of character. It included Wi-Fi and entrainment options and very close to downtown. We would stay there again.
We rented this house for a few days because we were getting married in Maine. The house is very clean, cute, the property manager/owner we awesome! Had a wonderful experience.
Cute little house. Obvious attention to making it a comfortable stay for renters. Location was perfect for our event at the waterfront park, & lots of great restaurants close by. Neighborhood was a little rundown but still felt safe. Would recommend
Jeremy's property was perfect for our little stop-over in Bangor. We only spent one night but it was such a cute, clean, perfectly setup little space, we easily could have spent a long weekend and explored the city and surrounding area.
Communications, check-in, and check-out were all a breeze. The neighbors are friendly and the quiet, dead-end street fills with kids playing ball in the late afternoons.
We would absolutely stay here again the next time we are spending a night or three in the area!
The house was perfect for our weekend UMaine graduation needs. The upstairs bedroom was not suitable for my elderly mother as the stairs are a bit steep, the floor is uneven and the ceilings in the bedroom are slanted, but it was fine for my husband and I. Ibwillnsay that the upstairs bed was super comfortable! The host was very responsive to all of my questions and needs.

This property was perfect for my needs. 2 bedrooms on separate floors with very comfortable beds, nice television, strong shower and a quick responding heating system. We used it as a 1 day layover before continuing on to Canada. Only issue, a small one, is that the floors are not level and made me feel like I was buzzed when I walked. Otherwise, AOK.

Clearly trying but not quite there
We didn't end up staying at this unit and instead booked last minute rooms at a local hotel. The unit was clean and the owner has clearly put a great deal of effort into renovating an older structure, however upon arrival the odor of fresh paint and possibly older but recently cleaned carpets/mildew were very noticeable and, due to my significant allergies, I needed to leave after only being in the unit for 10 minutes. The area surrounding the unit is very mixed, with obvious efforts being made to restore some of the houses in an otherwise pretty rundown neighborhood, and I didn't feel unsafe travelling with a group however I'm not certain I would have been comfortable staying here as a solo traveler. The price is certainly reasonable and every effort had been made to clean the unit within the limitations of the age/condition of the building, communication with the owner was easy and the check-in process was well handled, but it didn't suit our needs.

Hi Celia, thank you for your feedback in regards to your reservation. It is unfortunate that you did not indicate any issues with your allergies or the scents we use during your10 minute stay. We go above and beyond to provide a great stay to all our guests. We maintain the property just like our photos and work to ensure cleanliness and safety. As recently stated by one of our guests, this property is on a quiet dead end street filled with kids playing ball in the afternoons as well as friendly neighbors. We provide great notes in our description about our home and all the improvements we have made. We are always happy to make things right, as other amazing hosts have done to us, but it’s very difficult to do that when someone doesn’t indicate an issue. Our priority is to provide a safe and wonderful stay to our guests and we’ll continue to do just that. All the best.

This property is a very overpriced bad rental.
It's located in a pretty shabby residential area. Many if not most of the properties in the immediate vicinity are run-down homes with yards filled with overgrown weeds and trash. It was depressing and didn't feel especially safe.
As for the house itself, the best things about it were that it was clean, had newer carpeting and flooring, powerful AC units in each bedroom, and contained most amenities that would be expected.
But there were problems - one hazardous situation is that the tub floor inside the shower is very slippery, with no anti -slip mat and nothing to grab onto if one were to slip.
Almost all of the floors in each room were rolling, uneven or slanted. It felt like we were living in an unstable, broken-down building and it was creepy trying to imagine what was beneath those rolling floors.
One possibility is rot and mold - because the worst part of our stay was the overwhelming smell of mildew in every room. It was pretty awful and overwhelming and felt unhealthy as well.
This house should not be rented for anywhere near the asking price. In fact I'm not even sure it should be rented at all.
The property was close to the college which was our main purpose for visiting. The neighborhood is quiet and the home was very clean. The owner was east to get in touch with and is very nice.
Close to Steven King's house and Main St/Downtown Bangor and Brewer. So great restaurants are close. Wanted a couple of bedrooms and a full kitchen. Quiet neighborhood. Hosts were amazing - great communication. We will certainly use this place again.
The owners have been working hard to breathe new life into this mid 1800s home. We are continuing to make improvements to the property, and sincerely want guests to enjoy their stay. This is a small, saltbox style house, on a narrow dead end street, on top of a hill very close to everything Bangor has to offer. This house is perfect for two couples, business travel, or small families wanting to explore the Bangor area, and is only about 45 minutes to the Acadia National Park area. We look forward to hosting you for your stay here in beautiful Bangor, Maine.
