My husband, son, and I had a wonderful time here on our first trip to Tennessee. The cabin was near countless hiking trails, creeks, and entrances to Great Smoky Mountains National Park but far enough away from downtown Gatlinburg to be quiet, private, and relaxing. It's on a drive that feels more like a court: No through traffic and just four neighbors. Ideal location, gorgeous construction, excellent natural light, a front and back patio, the fire pit rocked, and the cabin smelled wonderful. The kitchen appliances were updated and the light fixtures and decorations were tasteful. Bed linens and towels were of good quality. The ONLY letdown was that the cabin really needed to be dusted, swept, and mopped. There were cobwebs, dust bunnies, someone's hair, and lots of dead bugs that were totally dried out, indicating they'd been there quite awhile. I dusted off my feet before getting into bed as the bottom of my feet were gray due to the dusty floors. All other surfaces, the towels, and the sheets were quite clean. The cabin was still very pleasant to occupy but it's disappointing to pay a cleaning fee and find the cabin was not truly cleaned prior to our arrival. I attached photos to help show how to improve.Even so -- we would happily stay here again! We made many wonderful memories and had an absolute blast. This cabin was a joy to return to after exploring one of the most stunningly beautiful places I've ever been. But I insist on a thorough cleaning next time!
