We enjoyed our stay at the Lion House. The house is very clean and comfortable and they have everything you might need. The kitchen is well furnished. It’s a short walk to all the restaurants and shops. The Katy Trail is close by. We would all stay here again.

Very convenient location for the historical St. Charles area. Didn’t have to drive unless leaving that area. House looks just like pictures and descriptions of everything were accurate. It worked well for us and our dogs. Would stay again.

This property was a great location for visiting the St Charles area. Very clean and comfortable home that was perfect for our group. We parked the car in the driveway on Thursday and did not get back in it until we left on Sunday. Thanks again for sharing your space with us.

Lovely home in great location

We stayed a couple of nights here for a girls trip, and it was the perfect size and location. It has two bathrooms, both with showers, and both bedrooms have tvs, which was nice. Very clean and nicely decorated, and the check in process was simple. It was an easy walk to the main strip, we didn’t use our cars at all. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Home Away From Home

This property checked all the boxes that I look for in a VRBO. It was quiet, very clean, in a great location, nicely decorated, comfortable beds, and well- equipped with anything you might need. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again.

Beautiful Clean Home Near St Charles Historic Area

Our stay at the house was wonderful. We loved the location, which was close to the historic area. Also, the setup of the house worked great for our family of four, plus our dog. If we have a chance we would definitely stay again. Kimberly was a great host and made our stay perfect in every way.

A Trip Full of Cheer

We booked the stay for a local cheer comp. 3 moms and 3 cheerleaders. The house was SO cute!!! Our host communicated great and our stay was hassle free. The house was very clean and had everything we could have needed.

Fabulous Home for Wedding Weekend Festivities

The house was perfect for us! My husband and I stayed here for the weekend of our son's wedding in St. Charles. It was a great resting spot in between wedding festivities. The house had so many special features, loved the pod in the yard - great for hanging with friends! Lots of extra toiletries, shampoo, lotion, tissues....so many!! Can not say enough great things about his house! Thanks for everything Lisa!!

Legends & Lanterns

Close walk to Main Street and still far enough from the hustle and bustle and noises. The hill coming back up from Main Street is treacherous with a wagon and kiddos, but that’s a small price to pay for the convenience of a quiet neighborhood. While I understand it’s the price you pay for convenience and the luxury of a home, I don’t think would pay as much as I did for a two night stay unless I had a second couple to split the price with to make it more affordable.

Well-equipped, well-located house

Our family of three enjoyed our stay at the Lion House. The house is well-proportioned and comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped, allowing us to prepare a dinner for several guests. The bedrooms are nice. Our daughter enjoyed the heated “bubble” in the back yard. The house is well-located, just a short walk from Main Street and with good access to the highway. The neighborhood is quiet, and parking is easy. Communication with the host was very good. We are looking forward to returning.

Cute home, close to everything

The house was cute; I love all the Lindenwood University details. The beds were very comfy, and the fenced backyard was perfect for my pup. It’s within walking distance of Main Street and everything else we wanted to explore was just a short drive away.Communication with the host was excellent - very clear, responsive, and easy throughout our entire stay. Wedding visit

We came to town for our daughter’s wedding. The Lion House was wonderfully located. It was charming, cozy and spacious. It met all of our needs perfectly. If we are in town again we would definitely stay again.

Rich and I have been happily married for nearly 30 years. We have two grown children: McKenzie, a nurse at Vanderbilt, and Cameron, who played lacrosse at Lindenwood University (also known as Lion House) and is now a sales leader at an AI company. Our family loves the great outdoors and cherishes the time we spend together.

We fell in love with St. Charles the moment we visited; it immediately felt like home. When we're not enjoying our time at the Lion House, we are often in Indianapolis. We find ourselves here frequently, and it brings us immense joy to share the Lion House with you!

Why they chose this property

Built in 1930, this home retains much of its original charm while offering many modern amenities. The Lion House can accommodate up to six guests across two bedrooms (a king bedroom upstairs and a queen bedroom on the main level) and an ultra-comfy sleeper sofa on the main level. With two baths, luxurious accommodations, and superb services, we ensure an unforgettable stay.

What makes this property unique

In the summer, the backyard is adorned with string lights and features a Wicker/Rattan 6-person seating group with cushions and a table. The garage is stocked with lawn games, including bags and a giant colorful Jenga, as well as a gas grill.
