This was my second stay at Valarie's place to be near family in Abilene. The quiet and walkable neighborhood near ACU, several windows, and simple but functional kitchen provide me a perfect respite. A west-looking window provided for a great view of the lunar eclipse this visit!
United Supermarket and Life of Pie restaurant are walking/easy-driving distance.

This little apartment was perfect for me for its proximity to groceries and the ease of going out the door for a long walk in the neighborhood/ACU campus. Compared to staying in hotels, the kitchen was great for making real coffee and some actual meals on the stove and in the oven--very comforting for when I am in town for family business.

ACU Family Weekend

Great apartment

Had a wonderful first experience with VRBO rentals, apartment was just roomy enought to make you feel at home. Big bed, comfy couch, spacious enough to do whatever i needed. Valerie was quick to help when needed or when i may have gotten turned around on my way there initially. I will def stay again when im back here and just need a single room!

Sorry you feel that way...we normally stay full and when you cancel the day of it prevents us from renting it. We still had to keep if open for the other days that you used it. We go by VRBO rules and it was their call.

The kitchen was fully stocked and we appreciated that there was an air fryer available for use. The home was pretty clean. I think a little more effort needs to be put into the small things like possibly towel racks or an over the door hook in the bathroom since it is so small. Also might want to close in the outside stair railing. Would not recommend this property for elderly folks or anyone with young children because of the stairs and sloping floors. The heating and air units worked great. Also recommend that checkin information to include rhe code to enter the property, wifi code, where to empty the trash, how to lock the property when leaving and using the gas stove would be helpful in an email. We figured most of it out without contacting the host, but the host did answer promptly when we contacted her, so that was appreciated.
