Large, beautiful apartment house "Silence", 4 storeys, renovated in 2014. In the district of Winkelmatten, 1.2 km from the centre, in a quiet, sunny position. In the house: lift, central heating system. Grocery 600 m, supermarket 1 km, restaurant 300 m, bakery 600 m, 25 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Wiestiboden" 60 m, railway station "Bahnhof Zermatt" 1.2 km. Mountain railway 800 m, ski rental 800 m, ski bus stop 60 m, ski school 1 km, children's ski school 1 km. Cabs cannot stop right in front of the house. Please note: the keys‘ handover takes place by the agency Interhome in Zermatt. Additional accommodations can be booked.
3-room apartment 85 m2 on 3rd floor. Partly renovated in 2018, simple and cosy furnishings: living/dining room with open-hearth fireplace, dining table and cable TV. Exit to the balcony. 1 double bedroom with 2 beds (90 cm, length 200 cm). 1 double bedroom with 2 beds (90 cm, length 200 cm). Small kitchen (oven, dishwasher, 4 ceramic glass hob hotplates, toaster, kettle, freezer, electric coffee machine, raclette grill, fondue Set (cheese)). Bath/WC, shower/WC. Balcony 10 m2, south facing position and west facing position. Balcony furniture. Very beautiful view of Matterhorn. Facilities: hair dryer. Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smokers only.

Great apartment in beautiful Zermatt

Great stay but is rather inconvenient having to collect and return keys to a location some distance from the apartment given that you are travelling with all your luggage and shopping as you can’t drive into Zermatt.

Excellent Zermatt apartment rental

We rented the Silence in Zermatt while we hiked the area, and our stay was excellent. The checking process was very detailed and straightforward. The apartment was spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The view of the Matterhorn was excellent. Guests should be aware that the apartment is at the south end of Zermatt. It's about 1.5km and 80m uphill from the town center. Taxis are available at a cost. Also, there are NO washing facilities on the premises. We used the sink but travellers should be aware. An outdoor drying rack is provided.

Clean and quiet with great view

It was hard to get there on foot with heavy luggage because the property was on the hill side and we need to pick up the key at the office near station. It would have been better if someone greet us on the property or the key is in the key box. It was little bit chill at night at the beginning of June, but the heating system has been already shut down and there was only one electric heater for 4 of us with two bedrooms. It was hard to reach out someone to ask one more heater over the weekend and in fact, we didn't get it. The kitchen is very very small and not open to living space with dining table, which we didn't know on the description or the pictures on Vrbo. Also, no washer and dryer!! The apartment is overall clean with plenty of supplies and a great view of Matterhorn.

Die Ferienwohnung liegt sehr schön ruhig am oberen Ende von Zermatt. Der Blick auf das Matterhorn vom Balkon oder vom Esstisch ist wirklich grandios. Bäder und Küche sind neu und modern. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Die Wohnung bietet viel Platz und ist sehr gut ausgestattet.Kleines Manko: Die Heizung ist bis Mitte September abgestellt. Es gibt aber eine mobile Elektroheizung im Wohnzimmer und einen Kamin. Bushaltestelle ist nah beim Haus, wird aber wegen einer Baustelle gerade nicht angefahren. In den Bädern fehlen noch Handtuchhaken und in der Dusche eine Ablage für Duschmittel.

man sollte darauf aufmerksam gemacht werden,dass im oktober sehr viel gebaut wird. was sehr viel lärm verursacht. vor dem haus wurde die wasserleitung ersetzt sehr viel lärm.

Majestueux Cervin

Endroit calme, avec une vue magnifique sur le Cervin. Logement très bien équipé et propre. Nombreuses armoires de rangement, très bonne literie, cuisine très fonctionnelle. Accès facile avec bus. Petit bémol pour les salles de bain : manque de supports pour les linges et porte savon dans la douche, mais c'est un détail. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ce logement et le recommandons.

Nous avions déjà séjourné dans cet appartement en 2019, à notre entière satisfaction. Les salles de bain ont été agréablement rénovées entre temps. Des barres de suspension pour les serviettes ne seraient pas un luxe. La vue est toujours aussi belle, la situation de l’immeuble parfaite. Nous reviendrons.

Silence, un nom bien choisi !

Immeuble des années 60 dont la rénovation aurait pu avoir été faite avec plus de soins. Par exemple, le choix de conserver des minicatelles dans la salle de bains. Certaines sur les bords sont décollées. Il faut espérer qu'elles n'ont pas été posée avec de la colle à l'amiante. Situation tranquille avec vue imprenable sur le Cervin !

Großzügige Wohnung in prächtiger Aussichtslage

Das Haus Silence ist sehr schön gelegen, die Aussicht zum Matterhorn optimal. Die Wohnung ist - von einigen abgewirtschafteten Sitzmöbeln abgesehen - insgesamt solide eingerichtet. Hilfreich ist das Vorhandensein von 2 Bädern, angenehm auch der großzügige Balkon. Man kann sich hier wohlfühlen.

Wonderful location and wonderful apartment

The apartment is very nice and specious, the kitchen is fully equipped and the Matterhorn view from the sunny balcony is amazing. What we liked about it was that you can easily walk to the gondola in the morning (10mins even with snowboard boots on). The walk to the centre of Zermatt is about 15mins, with stunning views. Also, the bus stop is almost in front of the house, which is a great plus to everything else.

L'appartement est bien - localisation, vue, chambres grandes et deux salles de bain - mais les salles de bains nécessitents sinon une grande rénovation, au moins des petites améliorations (couvercle WC, robinet douche - baignore). L'eau chaude arrive par vague, jamais constante... sensation assez dézagréable. Les meubles du séjour: fauteille défoncé, canapé pas commode pour s'assoir encore moins pour s'alonger. Avec un imvestissement limité, le propriétaire pourrait donner du plaisir et confort

Ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen

Grundsätzlich war die Wohnung in Ordnung und sauber. Die Badezimmer sollten jedoch renoviert werden, z.B. hielt die Halterung der Duschköpfe nicht. Ausgetauscht werden sollte zudem die Polstergruppe, beim Sessel spürte man die Federn. Die Betten waren sehr gut und die Aussicht auf das Matterhorn einzigartig.

Il y a beaucoup à faire !

Il n'y a PAS TROIS salles de bain. Les deux salles de bain sont en mauvais état. Les thermostats des radiateurs ne fonctionnent pas. Les deux cheminées sont des entrées très désagréables pour le froid.
